Man I get nostalgic watching these songs, saw them at Reading not the festival, England with their old drummer handing out playing cards to the crowd coming in, I didn't even know he was part of the band as I had just heard their music on records! sigh
ОтветитьI’m 56 and somehow I missed out on this band. I don’t know how, they are AMAZING!!!
Ответить90s babes will always be the hottest in history. Terror Twilight was the best Pavement album. Feel free to at me.
ОтветитьDamn im old lol,saw them at reading bk in the day, sure this video has a reading clip in.
Ответитьthe reluctant leaders of the alt rock school of indie music in the 90s.

ОтветитьI wonder if his childhood home is historically preserved yet
Ответитьthis song manages to sound incredibly somber to me somehow and I like it for that
ОтветитьGood god loud ass beep
ОтветитьNow hit it with some soul, because......their hurting people
ОтветитьThis album changed my life no lie. It came out in my senior year in high school and suddenly I was an “indie kid”. I was o seeded with Pavement and Guided By Voices and it felt like they were my own little secret.
ОтветитьLowlands when it was still fun
ОтветитьThis brings me back❤❤❤
ОтветитьThey sucked at the SDSU show.
Ответитьhis voice reminds me of the intro of the Berserk anime, and Daniel johnston
ОтветитьGreat song. The nineties were essentially the last chilled decade before things deteriorated globally. 911 and the so-called digital revolution seemed to catalyse an ongoing drift into a dystopian future.
Ответитьschool's out, what did you expect?
Ответить<3
ОтветитьI love the stones, kinks, smashing pumpkins, bob dylan, tool, radiohead, jane's addiction, elvis costello, sonic youth and many more but crooked rain is my # 1. favorite album of all time.😌
Ответитьawesome
ОтветитьIf you guys like this, Stephen Malkus was also a member of The Silver Jews and The Jicks.
ОтветитьMejor banda y mejor canción de los 90's 👌🙂👍
ОтветитьThe early 90s were my favourite time being alive. . 80s was ok, 00s- meh? 92 to 2000... jeez some good times were had... i miss it, i hate knowing itll never be that great to be alive for me... shit happens i guess
Ответитьthis makes me long for the early nineties... great music, great clothes... late teens... wore my "Dirty"-t shirt, knee long black shorts
+docs, and just walking around with my friends, giggling, quoting movies and books and the future was ahead of you....
Why did you censor my favorite Pavement song????? I'm so mad...
ОтветитьThey just played this on the Australian tour. Was fantastic. First saw them in 1993
ОтветитьI like both bands.
ОтветитьAbsolutely terrible 🤢🤮🤢
ОтветитьThis song reminds me of the days when I could stay awake for a week and feel OK after a couple of hours sleep and beans on toast! ☠️
ОтветитьI really want Stephen Malkmus shirt in this.
ОтветитьYou know what I love in the middle of my favorite song? A nice, loud, atonal BEEEEEP.
Ответитьsmashing pumpkins, stone temple pilots
ОтветитьLyrics
[Verse 1]
After the glow, the scene, the stage, the set
Talk becomes slow, but there's one thing I'll never forget
Hey, you gotta pay your dues
Before you pay the rent
Over the turnstiles and out in the traffic
There's ways of living; It's the way I'm living
Right or wrong, it's all that I can do
And I wouldn't wanna let you be
[Chorus]
I want a range life
If I could settle down
If I could settle down
Then I would settle down
I want a range life
If I could settle down
If I could settle down
Then I would settle down
[Break]
[Verse 2]
Run from the pigs, the fuzz, the cops, the heat
Pass me your gloves, this crime, it is never complete
Until you snort it up and shoot it down
You're never gonna feel free
Out on my skateboard, the night is just humming
And the gums smacks are the pulse I'll follow if my Walkman fades
But I've got absolutely no one
No one but myself to blame
[Bridge]
But don't worry, we're in no hurry
School's out, what did you expect?
[Chorus]
I want a range life
If I could settle down
If I could settle down
Then I would settle down
I want a range life
If I could settle down
If I could settle down
Then I would settle down
Yeah
[Break]
[Verse 3]
Out on tour with the Smashing Pumpkins
Nature kids, I, they don't have no function
I don't understand what they mean
And I could really give a fuck
The Stone Temple Pilots, they're elegant bachelors
They're foxy to me, are they foxy to you?
I will agree they deserve absolutely nothing
Nothing more than me
[Outro]
Dreaming, dream dream dream dream dream
