Kommando was such a pain in the ass to beat on Hard Mode

I just bought the game on gamecube yesterday, this is going to be fun.

Blood Rayne deserves a Netflix animated adaptation.

I love Blood Rayne. Mwah.

In addition to Rayne being a super badass character, I really liked the crispness and predictability of the conbat mechanics in this game. It's one of few games where if you master the controls - you can attempt to do a no-save game run start to finish, without dying due to control clunkiness (and your character doing something different from what you intended and dying).

Also, the game doesn't have any cutscenes which drop you into a situation you'll most likely die the 1-st time it happens, because there's some obscure trick to beat a boss that you can't possible know beforehand. Combat (including boss fights) in Rayne can be challenging but intuitive and always make sense. There's never a case when you need to do some kind of obscure shenanigans to survive a level or beat a boss.

On my 2-nd playthrough I've managed a no-reload play till going deep into the daemite liar (about 50% through the entire game), or HARD difficulty at that. Killed by a nearby RPG blast. Those start appearing in the 2-nd part, are one of the first splash damage enemies and the splash damage is harder to dodge - 'cause you must not only dodge the RPG but put some distance between Rayne and the blast.

Another game with such a quality if STALKER: Call of Pripyat.

Just about all other games I've played have one of the two flaws (often both):
1) Clunky controls causing your character to momentary get stuck or do something other than what you've intended - which can get you killed even if you made no mistake.
2) Difficulty spiked which are forced and/or unpredictable, and have a counterintuitive mechanic to succeed, giving you a near-zero chance of surviving on your 1-st attempt, unless you've watched spoilers and know what to expect beforehand.

Witcher-3 being a great RPG but it has both of the above flaws :-D :-(

This is the best female lead character in a game I've ever played. I fell in love with Bloodrayne ever since. She became one of my favorite characters ever. I miss this game. Had so much fun playing it. The characters, the story, the mature tone: everything was memorable to me. How I wish they could remaster this and the second game. Give us a third game (not Betrayal) with Laura Bailey returning.

Out of all the enemies in this game, the twins were always my favorite!

You know, I wonder if that really was Kommando. I mean we see a creature wearing his outfit, but we never see it happen when it comes to taking over. The guy probably thought it was too risky to stick around and probably thought faking his death would be a good idea. Like knock a Nazi soldier out cold, switch clothes, and leave the poor guy to his fate.

This game which I still have an og xbox copy of is a very cool coming together of b-movies. But it's rather serious and stylish. The gore is excessive and it's got disturbing vibes because of it's convincing blend of realism and the supernatural.

Well, my uncle is a farmer and has this bull named Big, everything about his is perfect except for one thing.
Yea? Whats that?
Its eyes, they're crossed. My uncle knew he could win first prize at the fair if he could only fix the bulls eyes. He tried everything to fix it, the vet, home remedies, you name it!
So what did he do?
Well one day a new farmhand, who wasent very smart, saw Big and said to my uncle, "You want us to fix that the bulls eyes for you?" My uncle said, "You can fix it?" to which the farmhand said "Sure, you got a lead pipe?"
A lead pipe you said?
Yea, being as my uncle he tried everything, he said "Yea I guess theres one in the shed, Ill go get it" He came back and handed the pipe to the farmhand. The farmhand took the pipe, and shoved it right up Bigs ass.
Up his ass?
Yea, but before my uncle could even say anything the farmhand blew into the pipe as hard as he could. Unbelievably, the bulls eyes uncrossed.

Wait wait, im not done. So the next day, my uncle wants to take the bull to the fair since its eyes are now fixed. But when he and the farmhand checked on the bull that morning its eyes are crossed again. My uncle says, "Let me try that trick" He takes the pipe, shoves it in poor Bigs rump and blows, nothing happens. He tries again, still nothing. He tries one more time, the veins in his forehead and neck bulge, his face turns red, he's blowing that hard!
Let me guess, nothing?
Yea, so the farmhand says "Here, let me do it. You're doing it wrong" He then proceeds to pull the pipe out, turn it around and shove it back in. The farmhand is just about to put his mouth on the filthy pipe then...
Urggghh
...then my uncle says "What the hell are you doing boy?!" And the farmhand replies, "You dont think I want your germs do you?"
Ughhhhhhh, Christ! That didnt really happen did it?
