Ответитьstress weakens immune systems. This is why you'll find an old couple for instance, dying close together because a) immunity is diminished at advanced age, and b) the severe stress/grievance weakens it further. It's literally open season for an infection to come and kill you off.

ОтветитьA tip for batteries: Make two battery rooms, but don't have them directly connected to the power lines. Separate them from the grid with a Power Switch. Have one room's switch ON connected to the grid, and when the other room's batteries are full, turn the switch OFF. If you get a power overload blowup, which drains all connected batteries, you still have a couple batteries worth of power while you fix the other ones and let them refill.
Refrigerators: Double-thick-walling them helps keep the temp inside from raising too much because of temp outside. And, while it slows down movement, doing an "airlock" set of doors with a short hallway to get in, also helps prevent outside air from warming inside air too much. The "airlock" is best if you use auto-doors, whenever you get them, since they open a little bit faster.
Fire: I make the nicer stone floors in between my crop fields. The colonists like how they look, improving their mood from a better environment if you use the nice ones. I think it increases walk speed, but I know it helps reduce the speed fire spreads because only a bigger fire on a tile will spread new flames over one or two tile wide stone floor to the crops.

When you were talking about taming and selling off critters for massive moola, it got me thinking that a Rancher Settlement would be a pretty awesome thing to see. Just have a few guys with high taming skills and just tame an entire herd of buffalo! Sell some every now and again, maybe eat a few...Unleash The Herd upon ye enemies from time to time...
Would be nice!
i suggest if them getting addicted to the drugs you make store them in a locked room and only let them access it for adding or selling it

Also not sure if you knew, but instead of zooming your map out and dragging to select colonists you can just drag over their portraits at the top of the screen to select them.

A quick tip: You don't have to un-restrict things in order to sell them, it just stops your pawns from interacting with it. Those little bastards will use your drugs right from under your nose if it isn't restricted. (Sometimes even if it is)

ОтветитьAlso, you should've used the attack button and not a move order. A move order will cause them to stop shooting. Whereas the attack order will cause all melee soldiers to chase and all shooters to open fire at the same time.
Also killing downed enemies is basically shooting yourself in the foot. As long as you have the food you should always capture and release/recruit them. Releasing a fully healed person leads to less and less enemies over time.
You can set up detailed meal orders now. If you click on "details" you'll see a button that says "pause when satisfied." What that does is make them stop cooking meals when they reach a certain threshold. So they'll still spend a day cooking meals then stop for several days if you set up enough meals.
Should be noted that this was based off of a mod that's now vanilla. So thank the Rimworld community on that one.
