Since posting this vid I'm hearing that the info on levels isn't quite right. Still yet to confirm, but what I'm hearing is you can level Gen R variants by 100 now! And if that's the case, this makes this vid even more important to watch!

I thought that X-creatures had a 40% damage reduction while tamed 😢,but still,i already tamed a bunch of X-spinos and mutated them and put ascendent saddles, so i wont complain.

R-variety is king

After lots of giga killing and several iterations of getting all of the desired stats into a single offspring, I finally have bred a 39 stamina, 50 health, and 33 melee imprinted R-Giga (I think it was somewhere around level 211 to 219 when it hatched). Without putting any levels into it's melee, and without a mate boost, he has consistently hit for 1,299 damage on the dozen or so Parasaurs, Raptors, and Gallimimus's nearby my base. Hopefully I can find an R-Giga in the near future with closer to 40 or above melee stat, but so far I've been pretty happy with the results I currently have.

I still personally believe that the normal types are better because health matters more when you can tank shit like crazy and yeah damage is important but if you have like half the amount of health as your opponent in PvP and although you do more damage, you will get wiped instantly cause they can tank your hits if they are smart with breeding, imprinting, and leveling

Idk if the R turtle will be used that much they are kinda only good for their health

The less health is Not a think on official because x and r creatures can Go to lvl 500 and normal only to 450. So you can get some mutations in hp and of course the difference in lvling normal 73 and x r 88 so all are better the normal creatures are just gar away with breeding and it will Take some time to Catch Up with r and x creatures. And r reaper are insane because you have 15 lvl more to put in a perfect r reaper with mutgen can reach lvl 333

It’s dumb how weak r gigas is compared to gigas. Top stats for r gigas are 600 melee. And top stats for gigas are 1200 melee.

Sorry but gotta say it... its NOT DPS(damage per second) as that would be (Damage Total over 60 seconds)/60=DPS

What you are showing is DD or Damage Dealer numbers. Which is how much damage in a single attack.

Can you do a variant video with every variant including abberation and clear up whether you can take these variants to boss fights from the island through to gen2 for new players or returning players with clusters that want to play the story through. For example dire polar bears can be used on rag and valgeura but because they aren't native to the island can't be transferred there for tames I'm sure everyone would appreciate it

It would've been nice if you did 5 tests for each creature to see the average because of the points being random

I have one little thing to add in with the Reaper. The R variation doesnt jump, giving another reason to go vanilla if you want that extra mobility.

Next time calculate the dps right, you cant just hit a target once and say 'yeah that's the DPS'

The r giga Heath is lower because there’s damage reduction Dino’s will hit less on the r giga then the normal giga

R variants have 5% more dmg and 3% less hp than Vanilla creatures. X have the same multipliers as R and Aberrant Variants have 6% dmg and 4% hp down (So I'd love to see a comparison of spino as it has all 3 variants)

You can not raise the hp of a giga via leveling up (or very little), so that health loss is unrecoverable, while you can always pump up a vanilla's giga melee by adding some extra mutations... so I feel the R variant is not as good apart from esthetics

Yea, I've made the full switch to pve, I can atleast take a break for 8 maybe 10 days before having to log on before auto decay gets my ass.
