simple and concise / thank you /
ОтветитьIf you use the cameras own finadjustment for AF first if you not fix AF on the lens with value -+20, then you have another startpoint so it's then possible to adjust it on the lens, you then go beyond the lens adjustment value of 20.
ОтветитьWith canon 6d i had to use +20 and i think that might not even be enough
Sometimes i wonder, why the hassle ? Lets get a mirrorless with an adapter and case is solved
ซื้อมาใช้กับ sigma ex 30mm f1.4 กับ dc 17-50mm ใช้ไม่ได้ ไม่มีใครพูดถึงประเด็นรุ่นที่รองรับ
ОтветитьHi! Thank you for this video! How do you know how far back to take a photo from the target?
ОтветитьI don't understand, how do you measure the distance from the camera to the cross at EXACTLY 0.3m?? Wouldn't the camera just compensate when you engage the AF on the cross and make the lense not exactly at 0.3m to get in focus??
ОтветитьSo much more easier to follow compared to other videos
ОтветитьBut a-t-il 600 mm ?????? Wsh solution ?
Ответитьdont forget to include that on mirrorless cameras like panasonic gh4 for example that doenst have mirrors/pentaprism in it, that it doesnt matter if its done on the LCD screen or in the electronic viewfinder because both are electronic copies of what the sensors are seeing.
evrything from thelens goes directly to the sensor.
also, include why on the viewfinder on DSLR cameras that has the mirror/pentaprism.and its because the information from the lens reflexes to the viewfinder via that mirror/pentaprism making it more accurate and more direct line of manual mechanical connection,
Is this an issue with every sigma lens? Or just some that are faulty?
Ответитьhow long time can the lens keep this setup? How many times for one year, you must make this micro adjustment setup??
ОтветитьHey. Does this solution only apply for automatic focusing? I have a front focus problem on my Sigma Canon 1.8 F Lens even in manual mode. It cannot focus on things far away even when in manual. I have a Viltrox adapter between my Panasonic GH4 and this lens. Where do you think the problem lies and can this solution fix manual focusing?
All the best and thanks for a thorough, detailed explanation.
Mathias
Hi, Shouldn't it be more like 0.7m instead of 0,6m? the line for that third field look like its in between 0.6m and 1m, thats actually pretty misleading in Sigma software
ОтветитьHow do you measure distances from the tripod to the crossesto be accurate?
ОтветитьNice video.....
Ответитьthanks for the video! i did it with my 50mm f1.4 ART and it has some pretty hard numbers on the 1.5m and infinite (-15 and -20) it was really off !
ОтветитьOr you could simply use live view and be done with it
ОтветитьI was going to buy this lens but fuck all that
ОтветитьWhere can I find the info about the focus distances?
ОтветитьI hope they pay you for this video, as there own tutorial about this topic is not useful AT ALL!
Ответитьsigma on canon is not good. If photography is your business forget it...dont waste time and money..the usb dock is a big joke..and after using the usb dock you still have 90% unsharp pictures...
ОтветитьThanks
ОтветитьAwesome video. Have you tried this method on the sigma 85 art? if yes, can you share the values? thanks
ОтветитьI just bought a 85mm art and a 24-105mm art and wow this is a heck of a work. I work with the spyder lens af. just have finished the 85mm but now the zoom with so many options. but who can use 24mm on over 4 meters and see the scale ^^
ОтветитьIs it best to calibrate minimum focus distance first, or infinity first?
ОтветитьThank you! I looked at so much bad tutorials for calibrating before I found yours!
ОтветитьYou look like a kid but speak like an adult.
Ответитьi like that you made your own chart to use. thanks, that will save people a bit of money to buy other things instead :)
Ответитьthank you for the video ... people said that 18-35 has same issue . and sigma lens don't focus on corner focus point is that true ? i am planing to buy one
ОтветитьI understand how to calibrate then lens with + or -. I was wondering since there are 4 lengths of feet .92, .35 .5 and infinity does that mean I have to move the testing paper at those lengths and trail and error for 4 different things?
ОтветитьHi, thanks for great video. I have a question but not concerning about the focusing of the lens, hope you'll be kind enough to answer it, I bought a sigma 35 f1.4 from ebay store last october 2016, I have been using it time to time, sometime had problems with focusing but sometimes was not. My camera is canon 80d and there 's a program to fix the focusing so I just did that, I m newbie though. Anyway my question is why when I shoot with the sigma 35mm f1.4, and when review my shot in the review mode, the file info. never shown the lens s/n like another lenses I have (I have canon kit lenses , 85mm and 50mm. I paid a lot for this sigma lens so I want to make sure that this lens is a real product from sigma, not from a grey market lens. Thank you in advance.
Ответитьwhat about in camera settings after calibrating with Sigma dock? Does it have to be switched off after calibration or you can actually combine it with dock calibration settings?
Ответитьgreat video. Quick question what distance should you set your camera to measure infinity value ? 3?, 5 meters ??? i have a sigma 35mm?
ОтветитьThoroughly explained. Thank you.
Ответитьhow do you properly check for the Infinity focus because its so hard to see what is focused and what is not when you so far away.
ОтветитьHow long do I put the subject for adjust the infinity distance?
ОтветитьWhy can't you use Live View IF you use an Auto Focus mode such as pinpoint where you can control the focus area??? Why would the results be different via the view finder if the AF mode is the same?
ОтветитьConfused about the differences?
Sigma 30mm f1.4 DC HSM Art or
Sigma 30mm f1.4 DC DN or
Sigma 30mm f1.4 DC DN Contemporary or
Sigma 30mm f1.4 EX DC HSM ??
Thank you for your review. Very clear and straight to the point :).
ОтветитьHi, I have a Canon 6d and i purchased the Sigma 35mm F1.4 art lens. I noticed the focus is quite off and I purchased a Sigma USB dock to try and fix it. I am struggling on what the correct settings should be. Any idea what i should set them at? Any help will be much appreciated as i have a great lens that is not being utilised.
ОтветитьSo is it possible my particular lens is just bad? There doesn't seem to be any difference when I make the adjustments even when I put it +/- 20. Thanks so much for the great video!
Ответитьcan someone please explain to me what each of those sections mean on the optimizer window starting with the 1st one on the left ? is that distance? and do you keep going farther away from the + sign as you take photos to adjust those fields ?am i understanding this corrently
ОтветитьThat was a very good explanation! Thank you for your video!
ОтветитьTheir scale is problematic. For the first two docal distances, the red line is exactly pointing to the values. For the third it's not. You have to guess the value, right? It's not 0.6 meters, it's a little more.
ОтветитьThank you. Informative and well made video.
ОтветитьHow far back are you for the infinity measurement?
Ответитьhow camera body specific are these settings? If you have two camera bodies and you use the USB dock presumably it is possible that USB dock settings for one body might be different to those required for another? In which case if both your bodies have MFA isn't it better to set MFA in the camera body rather than use the dock?
ОтветитьVielen Dank!
ОтветитьHello, a newbie here. Sorry for this dumb question.
I just bought the 50mm 1.4 art and are using it with my canon 5d mark iv. Im also using the usb dock. The question is: why are you doing the whole ruler thing? can you not fix your focus problems only with the software? Are you doing the ruler thing just to test it?
thanks in advance!
