Remember that deleting yourself from the internet fully may be wildly impractical for most people, but you still can take these steps to protect yourself and your data online. Leave a comment and let's discuss!
Stay safe and prepared out here guys!
I delete my social media back in 2020, I wasm15 by then. Here's the issue, yes I stopped using social media for three years, but as a teen, I created loads of accounts with emails I lost access to throughout the years and I don't even remember anymore, those accounts are still up and I want them gone, but i can't log in to them! what can i do?
ОтветитьYou can confuse internet
Ответитьtheyre snapping pictures of peoples faces now. specifically people who look arab. i have to remove myself from this
ОтветитьThat's gold! You pay a company to remove you from the internet, and then they sell your data to the internet.
ОтветитьBlah blah blah but no useful information
ОтветитьI used to show my face on these dating apps and troll and I feel like people have my face now and maybe we're enemies is it possible I can somehow get the emails to these accounts and just delete them
ОтветитьI need help
ОтветитьWhat about discovery credit card do they delete your data like they say the would ?
ОтветитьMan i really feel like social media and the internet has us living life for the wrong reasons. When you strip it all away it can feel like you dont exist at all in the eyes of society. But i think working towards this goal of no social media and a limited online presence generally would force me to focus on the things in life that really matter. At the same time a lot of basic social things we do these days are on the internet. The majority of people in my generation meet through online dating apps, potential employers look for our social media to guade if they should hire us, and the list goes on. I truly believe the people designing these social media platforms are evil people who dont care about the people they are farming data from and this path we are on is leading to a dystopian future. Some say we already live in it. Maybe this is why it feels so hard to fully disconnect from it all.
ОтветитьI'm a bit late, but I'll leave this here for someone who may benefit from this.
You can open your email inbox and search for "verify" or "welcome" to find sites you've signed in to using your email. This works because almost all sites send a verification email or a welcome email to your email address if you sign up using it.
Very helpful Ive been thinking about doing this 🧑💻
ОтветитьSo how do i find out which companies have my data and how do i contact them if you dont mind me asking
ОтветитьYou can't "hide" on the internet, but you can "confuse".
ОтветитьAre there services that will help??? Not trying to disappear just clean up and compartmentalize
ОтветитьThis is interesting...
Obviously, it is something most would not do, but it is interesting to know that it is possible. Good video DP
What about TOR onion browsing?
ОтветитьAs always, good tips TDP. I would implement only some of these, because I'm not ready for the rural/no tech life lol
ОтветитьIs duck duck go a “no go” now?
ОтветитьI just purchased me a 3 year supply of digital rice, beans and digitally canned chicken
ОтветитьI've always thought about doing this, but man... removing yourself from the entire internet almost makes it seem like you don't exist. But at least the tips I can do to lower the online presence. Good stuff!
ОтветитьThumbs up
