Hope You Enjoyed the Video 🙌
It was very interesting analysing the films and the Original novel, where it shares ALOT more details about events and characters that were NOT shown in the films, but were instrumental to the way Vito transformed into the powerful Mafia don we now know 💎
Most these I'm sure will be VERY surprising if you have only watched the films, so if you have any questions or thoughts just comment them below and we can discuss them much further👌

The greatest of the many tragedies in the Godfather trilogy (and the other novels) is that Vito Corleone (and to a lesser extent, Michael) was a VERY GOOD man who became a monster. Michael was a good man before he got involved in the family business.. but his father was a saint of a man before he started down a dark path.

luka tried to kill himself and wanted to kill sonny for stealing one of his trucks so vito visited him in the hospital and said we are both orphans let be a brother to you, Frankie Pantangelli and Bazini turned on marranzano to have him killed making Vito the boss of bosses, marranzano was trying to kill vito thinking he was a fancy talker n would never see it coming and was killed while vito was outside in the car

The scene where young Vito is standing, looking out the window, with the statue of Liberty in the reflection, always makes me think, "my family is in Italy, and I'm in New York?" Then, All I Want For Christmas is You starts playing

No tricks. No secrets. No strategy. He started with 1 thing. HONOR. And as long as that was unbreakable, he was virtually unbreakable.
.
It was honor that drew talented men to him. It was honor that brought him the man power he needed.
.
It was honor.

I would’ve loved a Godfather movie covering Vito’s full rise to power and the enemies he had to make deals with and exterminate to gain so much power and respect. Would’ve been better than 3 with the incest plot and taking on the Vatican.

Hello, Cultural Mafia,

I just have to say thank you for all the information about Don Vito Corleone. But I do have one question: How did Vito Corleone become a mob boss without takin a Blood oath like the real life La Cosa Nostra???

What i find fascinating about the Godfather series is that, even though I watched it numerous times, i still discover new things.

For example, the reason Michael is so emotionless throughout the series is because he sees showing emotion as a sign of weakness, of being a weak man.
This was installed to him by his father, who's only portrayal of uncontrolled emotion was lashing out in anger to his godson at the beginning of the film, after his godson was crying about not getting a part.
Even when seeing the death of his oldest son, and heir to the business (Sonny), he only mourned with the comment "look how they massacred my boy".

Used to think its just "sigma" energy. But everything Michael did and everything Michael was, was in an effort to be the man his father wanted him to be.
And he was... although Vito never wanted his life to be Michaels.

Run as we might, we are all a product of our parents

The success of The Godfather movies is due to the abilities of experienced acting professionals, not the criminal underworld of the mafia, they’re just a bunch of lowlifes. Why do you think they’re called the mob??😂

What made this movie so perfect was first two ingredients, the actors, and the Director. Francis Coppola used the same recipe layout he did in the Outsiders with a mash-up of the same dialogue we see in Apocalypse Now. Two of his other Masterpieces 😊

Marlon Brando! Legend. Was put on by one of his close friends “James Dean“ the original bad boy with the cigarettes rolled up in his arm. Then he becomes his mafia boss that other real mafia bosses try to emulate. This dude‘s not even Italian. Although Brando does sound Italian, he’s actually half German on his mother side and Irish on his father side. he has not one bit of Italian in him and played that role remarkably. Also did an awesome job and Francis Ford Coppola’s other great movie “Apocalypse now”
