It's impressive how hard do you think you are controlling stuff while not even checking the monster's health before your decisions, half of your gunpower does not shoot and you spend your own and our watch time for taking drugs that will affect nothing more than 0% of shooting accuracy because it's already 100% for a creature that big

Most of your melee pawns and robots are set one tile from another or even touching the enemy at the same time that leads to even more losses, you literally engage them in a trade with 5 dps on their side vs 30 dps on the side of leaper

I guarantee you would have exactly the same result by just putting everybody in one place with two clicks and shooting the box

With tanky units this THING will turn into a minor inconvenience

The first time I fought these mutants my colony got wiped out, now I don't even try to fight these things, lol. I just put IED's (from the rimmunation mod) beside the chamber, I detonate it and it'll get blown up along with the chamber without it having a chance to take a peak outside.

The moment I started to feel a sense of immersion, the Volatile Leaper started shimmying forward like a South Park character and I started laughing. Why people use that mod and expect seriousness, I'll never know.

Ah yes let's micromanage every single aspect of a fight that isn't that hard to begin with but hey, that way i can look cool annd seem that i know what i'm doing.

Really i hate people that micromanages and removes the fun part of a fight only to make them seem cool. BTW i literally killed 2 of those things at the same time with 5 colonist in total, 2 of them tanking in melee and wrecking them without any mechanitor, the only thing is both tanks were neanderthals and the people shooting baseliners.

Easy parts of fighting THAT thing: it is huge as fuf, you won't miss you're shot.
It's melee only.
The hard parts of fighting THAT thing: the casual 200% armour, oneshot attacks, absolutely maSIVE health and almost fastest speed rimworld can render. Also, did you know that there can be MULTIPLE volatile mutants at the same time?

what mechanoid mod are you using?

You should try fighting them with CE. Nothing short of .50 BMG, monoswords, or another V.O.I.D. creature would let this end that fast if you're lucky.

Oh yeah, for that thing you will need an N4- Control Unit(or something like that) and you'll have him as a Pet. That item can be bought from traders (though it's rare)
