Medieval 2: Total War Scotland Livestream

I like the clunkiness and unresponsiveness of the units in M2, it feels more like commanding people than other TWs. Like if I tell my cavalry to suddenly change direction mid canter, I’d expect it to take them a few moments to wheel their horses round and set off back the other way. When I tell a unit of infantry to get out of melee combat I think it is perfectly understandable that a few of them may be a little hesitant to turn their back on the enemy.

One of the most chalenging and satisfying campaigns in my TW experience. Despite the description saying "lack of cavalry", the only unique unit worth recruiting is the border horse. Don't bother with pikes. 😂

You call the controls clunky now but if you play a while and watch closely you realize it's nothing but realistic it takes horses to get to speed, especially for a coordinated charge. Going back to Rtw then cavalry feels like weightless rubber balls. No wonder they got rid of it again in newer TW - can't expect players to have skill or limit perfect battlefield control.

Nice prepearing for Medieval 3

This was my first Total War cause it was the only one my PC could run at the time (The game was probably 6-7 years old by that point too). Got it right before summer break started and played about 200 hours over the next few weeks. Would literally wake up, play this game for 12 hours (with reasonable breaks to eat and such), go to bed and repeat. Simpler times.

I love playing as the Scots and always get rid of that boat as well.

History classes in this world about the rise of Scotland would be wild.

CA should really consider a remastered MDVAL2, JUST DO NOT CHANGE ANYTHING AT ALL, ESPECIALLY THE UI!!!!!!

LEGEND please you should play Tsardoms Total War MOD for Medieval 2 as the Byzantines, it's awesome!!!

I still love Medieval 2 but I had a hard time committing to a campaign when I replayed it recently. Still looking forward to the horse sandwich!

If you quicksave before any auto resolve or save and load it up you get the auto win cause the game knows your just gonna cheese it and load a save file over and over to win

Dude you play this game in such a boring way. No teching up to better more enjoyable units, just spam lords and mercs. All business no fun. Yes med2 is easy but you play in the easiest playstyle. Was looking forward to a med2 campaign but this is fucking dull.

"My playstyle in Medieval 2 is super aggressive! Attack, attack, attack!" in stark contrast to the other TW games where LoTW plays the diplomatic long game. ;)

I want to see you play the most powerful faction and see how fast you can conquer the entire map

Love this game but it has some clunky controls at times. Feels like rome 1 was smoother than medieval 2

Love seeing this, definitely one of my favourite games growing up, overheating my school laptop trying to play large battles and go through turns. Great to see it again and you playing it Legend

episode came literally on the day I unistalled it to change it to the other driver to free up space. I cant wait to get this game with small fixes and new elements as a Medieval 3 with new graphics.

Remember border horse is arguably the best light cab in game they are just so damn fast you can cheese the game with them very easily 2 border horse can wipe a 6 stack of Islamic heavy spear militia with all the armor upgrades when used properly (yes on very hard I’ve done spit and keep doing it)

Over a decade old, and it still has superior sieges to that tower defence rubbish. CA really knows to to take a step, or 10, backwards.
