You can’t get this with the cp Keybed? Almost like how Nord does it?
ОтветитьI have the YC-73 with Leslie sim update...absolutely brilliant. One thing I cannot fathom in such a good keyboard is the lack of envelope control...one knob for attack and release? Yamaha what were you thinking? Hope some more envelope control will be available in an update even with menu diving would be better than nothing
ОтветитьThat right there is the widdly-widdly!
ОтветитьI would run to the store and buy YC61, but... there's just one thing that holds me back. My old trusty Hammond SK1 has a 2 manual + pedal mode, which is important for me as an organ player. Yamaha does not. I can connect an extra keyboard and a foot keyboard to SK1 and have a full Hammond experience. Why hasn't Yamaha thought of this? YC61 is lighter, has more sounds (especially credible Yamaha pianos), and more live sets, so it could be an instant replacement for my SK1, but it won't be just for this reason.
ОтветитьYamaha hasn't made a good organ similar yet
ОтветитьHow about the footpedal volme? It's essential for organ playing, verybody seems to forget about that
ОтветитьThank you for another great (and entertaining) video - Jack! My YC61 will arrive mid August..cannot wait…
Ответитьfake nord
ОтветитьNice.. are there pipe organ sounds on this keyboard?
ОтветитьHi Steve. True - there was an update and the Leslie simulation is quite fair. However the sound is really weak - especially because of missing bass frequencies and the missing of a realistic key click since the virtual multi contact is missing. This is one of the most overseen but important feature when it comes to clone the original Hammond. This is not a clone but a clown (wheel) organ. My mum always said: we don’t have money for cheap things. If someone prefers a lightweigt cheap keyboard with thin sound engine the YC61 might be the perfect choice. If you want full sound - spend double the price - have double weight but thousand times more fun and full siund experience - it‘s worth every penny.cheers.
ОтветитьNord did the lights with drawbars first not Yamaha on the Nord stage 4.
ОтветитьDo I spy a little Abandoned Luncheonette on the table there?😄
ОтветитьCan I get a sound like the one in the Deep Purple song called Highway star in this keyboard? Thanks in advance.
ОтветитьGreat funky playing man!
ОтветитьJack’s the best reviewer out there. Thanks man.
ОтветитьThanks for the review. Slick as always. I have a question about the narrower than normal keys. This has been brought up in various comments. How much was that an issue for you? Or could be for anyone in your opinion? Thanks again.
ОтветитьBetter than Nord?
ОтветитьI’ve read that you can’t assign the Master EQ to a live set. Yet the CP88 has a firmware update to allow that feature. This a great way to have an equalizer to set to either organ, piano, or synth. Unless there is a workaround??
ОтветитьWow, I'm heading out to pick one up to get this party started!. Chicago thanks Jack!!
ОтветитьToo bad that the keyboard’s sound tiny and thin compares to the talking voice
ОтветитьI really want a 73 key waterfall version of this 😩
ОтветитьYAMAHA : YC 61 KEYS ; Arpeggios ;
Effectos ; Timbres ;Ritmos ; Tons ;
Gráficos Digitais ; Som Digitais ;
YC 61 : Yamaha ; New Model .
Compare to Vox Continental?
ОтветитьSpeaking way too loud, playing too quiet. Kinda ironic for sound pros.
ОтветитьPerfect n already hav started saving fr it....🤗🔥
ОтветитьAftertouch?
Ответить“Is there anything it can’t do?”. Yes, Mellotron sounds…
ОтветитьYes! LED’s & Drawbars, together. About time. How’s it stack up against a NE6D?
ОтветитьOrgans pretty good, I liked the 78’ Rhodes but the rest of them were not very good.
ОтветитьI bought a Yamaha YC88 a month ago and the setup is almost the same. It has weighted wooden 88 keys instead of waterfall and of course is more for a pianist than an organist but I've learnt more from your demonstration than from any of the demos showing the 88 so far. It has exactly the same organ setup as the 61. Thanks for the detail. I'll be watching this video again.
ОтветитьHow can you get a clean Hammond. No overdrive, but, still using the Rotary speaker.
ОтветитьOne good pipe organ sound?
ОтветитьCan you attach a music stand? If so how please
ОтветитьGood demoes, although the “professional” geezer act is an acquired taste...
ОтветитьJack is such a good player!
ОтветитьWe want to see YC 76 versus hammond sk1 76 comparison!
All comparisons are with nord. But Hammond is more important, as they are king of The sound.
If only it had 76 keys. Seufz.
ОтветитьGreat Video! What monitors do you use?
ОтветитьDreadful keyboard-note action, unfortunately. I mean for anything except playing Organ patches.
ОтветитьThanks a million for the review, and Jack for your statement concerning the Nords. There seems to be an unfounded snobbery when it comes to the red keyboards - and for a long time there was no "real" alternative in terms of the usability aspect. But Roland have their VR 730 with a similar usability concept, Sutdiologic has their Numa Compact, and I think Yamaha have knocked it out of the park here. I had the choice between the Nord 6D 73 and the Yamaha CP73. I chose the Yamaha. The pianos are stellar, the EPs lovely, the lead sounds great. And yes, the wiggle-stick tipped the scale for me. I wanted the red one... and it's like 3,5 kilos lighter. But the Keybed on the CP73 is miles ahead of the Nord's.
ОтветитьDoes the two green lights above the rotary speed switch imitate a visual representation of the physical rotary spinning?????! If so 🤯 Someone please confirm if so or not.
ОтветитьLooks great, a pitty it has only five octaves
ОтветитьA fantastic sounding keyboard, but frankly, this guy could sell sand to Arabs with such playing skills. He could make a vintage Casiotone CT model sound amazing!
Ответить
