Ive had a Sterrett Reel fast since the 90s,i buy them off ebay every time i see one.Something about that chalk line that i wont let go of.
ОтветитьThanks for the Blessing of tool Ideas. I like the chalk line.
ОтветитьI have a bunch of chalk boxes. They’re always a pain for me for the reasons you mentioned. I always need one.
ОтветитьDo you wear suspenders with your buckaroo belt?
ОтветитьAlways buy equipment that has interchangeable batteries...ALWAYS!
ОтветитьThe most important tool is the willingness to learn
ОтветитьRoofus is a great tool
Ответитьis your dad still with you
ОтветитьSo wise
Ответитьman you look exactly like rick steeves
ОтветитьHope you don't use that chainsaw with that sloppy chain tension.
ОтветитьBuy once, cry once.
ОтветитьWizard! Where have you been all these days? Following with a channel lock!
ОтветитьThanks, love your advice. Another downunder fan.
ОтветитьOne thing that often comes up when I hear talk of electric chainsaws is that since they are so much quieter they're not as "scary", which could lead to less respect for the destructive force it has and lead to accidents. Many of you in the comments probably know that already and are careful, but for the those that buys their first chainsaw, be sure you know what you're doing. As he was saying - it might not look like much but it's a real saw!
ОтветитьThe roofus tool is sold out. I’ve tried to buy it a couple times and it’s always out of stock. I wonder if the company is still active.
ОтветитьThat square looks cool as heck, but I really wanna grab one of those chalk boxes to make a small form fishing kit for camping
ОтветитьFor me the 4' double sided Werner aluminum step ladder is the one to beat. If you only have one ladder, this is the one. Straddle it, stand on the top platform, carry it with one hand, & it stands up by itself when folded. The only thing it doesn't do well is lean against a wall. I have three. I have a Tajima utility knife but the blade doesn't project very far, so it's third tier.
ОтветитьPodium Ladder: I attempted to buy one of these to work on my gutters (I now have a bad hip) and the owner of the business (a large commercial ladder store) refused to sell it to me because he claimed they were for indoor use only.
ОтветитьToo lose chain.
ОтветитьThat Buckaroo belt looks like it would make an awesome survival kit.
ОтветитьOh - a CHALK box...
ОтветитьI have to agree with your assessment on that ladder. I used one recently and thought it was a game changer. Werner®️ builds an orchard ladder or 3 legged ladder. I use it for the outside of houses that I’m working on where the ground may not be level. They’re incredible too.
ОтветитьYou forgot about the hidden tool on the tajima chalk box
ОтветитьAre you interested in taking on an apprentice?
ОтветитьThanks!
ОтветитьThe Tajima knife has forever replaced my Olfa knives
ОтветитьI had gotten a Tajima chalk box from a friend of mine that was going to throw it out and it is the best thing ever the best song I've ever used also something about it is they made it so that hook could go over the head of a roofing nail as well.
ОтветитьTajima has an auto retract one too it’s a life changer
ОтветитьIf you're using your chalk box constantly as a framing sub contractor, tajima doesn't last any longer. We went thru a few just as fast. Stripped gears, end coming off and line ruined when wet.
Just get a half price Dewalt or Milwaukee.
Thanks
ОтветитьHow the f*ck do you build with all those layers on? What are you f*cking doing? Building a shanty on the dark side of the moon?
ОтветитьGreat channel! Thank you so much.
ОтветитьOkay I'll listen, the electric chainsaw been on my want list for 5+ years.
Chalk box ya I'll listen to you, boy will I miss my harbor freight chalk box I've had since 1985/86
My pick would be the festool hkc55, I know they’re a bit fragile and fancy but it earned it’s money within a couple of jobs
ОтветитьI purchased the speed square and it’s absolute trash. The materials are poor quality, the main piece is cheap plastic and does not sit square. The rule is poorly made and badly finished. Sending it back, it’s a big piece of junk! Buy a good record carpenter’s square instead.
ОтветитьMaybe I'm a bit late, but with the tajima , when you are attaching the hook to the body, if you put the end hook side out. It allows the little tab on the cap to go right through the end and really grab on. 👍🏻 I've never had any luck with the hooks going into that little slot.. on the other models (the all aluminum powder coat ones) they only have the tab on the lid and IMO have always held the end better
ОтветитьThanks for the advice Internet-Dad. 😊
Used to work for a commercial/industrial insulation company, all the Insulators spend hours on ladders and a few years back OSHA in 🇨🇦 required platform/podium ladders at certain job sites.
Your feet, back and arms will thank you for the safer and more comfortable work space. Now I look at the lightweight rickety aluminum ladders at home with disdain. 😂
Here is the next big invention, have another level to the podium ladder and the arms telescope up so you still have the security.
ОтветитьWhen you feel comfortable on a ladder and everything is right in reach you can work faster for damn sure
ОтветитьThose podium ladders are the only ones allowed on the job sites. Step ladders aren’t allowed anymore on a lot of the bigger general contractor sites! Safety first right?
ОтветитьThe Tajima line is the thing. I’ve put their replacement line in other chalk lines and got the fine lines that they’re famous for. How useful is a line of chalk that’s 3/16” wide. My first Tajima had 25 feet of automatic rewind and a sharp pin/plug instead of a hook. I called it Samurai chalk line what with a needle point coming your way fast!
ОтветитьThe cordless chainsaw just now became a real tool?
I don't recall seeing a chords on any chainsaws before. It's this another Mandela effect? Lol
Cool to see someone in America with a Buckaroo tool belt
ОтветитьThose Tajima chalk boxes, tape measures, and drywall rasps are hands down the best period. I’ve yet to use anything better. I’ve had a couple of those chalk boxes go missing on a job site because they were that good. Even the plastic ones they make are better than the metal ones by other brands.
ОтветитьValuable wisdom, the best tool, thank you.
ОтветитьI’ve gotten all my ladders of the expressway shoulder, 4 footers all the way up to 12feet one time.😂🤣
ОтветитьI use that very brand of podium ladder every day without fail and it’s so damn useful.
