I think a summary questline + dawntrail being the new start could be good going forward. And then we stick with it until we're done with this new book.

This way it's not completely ignoring story, but new players have a smaller entry barrier.

i have been saying we should get an age up for the twins, it could totally work if they are sucked into a shard that has a different time flow than the source and pop out as adults. like why would they drop the lore that elezen hit a growth spurt at 20, when the twins are definitely within 1-2 years of that age.
