ODDWORLD SOULSTORM PS5 Gameplay Walkthrough FULL GAME (4K 60FPS) Best Ending

Kinda sad this Oddworld universe fell in to obscurity. I thought this title would revive the relevancy of the whole series, it got a little notoriety, but soon forgotten. Still is a really special franchise to me.

by the way this video is so edited and it's not straight playing... it's almost impossible to finish it in one sitting even for the creators of this game.. I'll be looking next time how to get the platinum

God, what boring, soulless game. I could just barely stand to watch 30 mins straight of this playthrough without falling asleep. The levels drag on forever with the same repetative "throw the bottle at X" puzzles, the crafting system does nothing to enhance the gameplay, abe's voice actor sounds like he's half-assing his lines most of the time, the tone of the scenes are way too dramatic and serious in a world that's supposed to be crazy and nonesensicle, they got rid of farts, paramites, fleeches, and scrabs, and the secret areas are reduced to just glowing orbs that you collect for a bronze, silver, or gold medal. Exoddus was so much more clever and more challenging then this. It's sad that THIS was what the developers originally wanted Exoddus to be. They don't realize just how much more memorable and loveable Exoddus was compared to this boring cesspool of flashy effects.

Immediately I feel the implementation of new “skills” was hugely underdeveloped. Throwing water could have been done by angling then holding a button for longer before release to throw further, also while hanging swing-jumping ahead should have been been done by swinging his body then picking a time to release. These both would offer better results from a player developing their skill of timing and provide more satisfaction as levels get harder and more complex. You’d have to time the swing, release, and avoid enemies to get a perfect section done. But I think it seems quite stale off the start. Could have been a lot more dynamic and fluid.

Also, I think Abe laughing at enemies burning alive is not really in line with his nature. I get he exploded them in previous games but having them suffer I think he would maybe wince or a similar expression. Chuckling is far less humane than I believe Abe truly is.

I miss necrum, paramites and scraps. Not fleeches though. Those hungry bastards creeped me out on. Exoddus

The 2D game looked so much better. The extreme lighting and re-used textures simply cannot re-create the feeling of unique artistically crafted backgrounds.
