I'm sure you know what you're doing but drinking beer before sleeping in your car doesn't seem like a good idea. If the cops do come across you they can do you for drink driving even if you're just sleeping in the back.

You should have put a longer pole in the middle of the tarp to form an apex and then the rain would have just run off the sides.
