This is the closest that modern anime could get from having big bulky dudes in heavy armor and weapons fighting gods and big monstrous bosses in different time periods and multiverses. The story also becomes dark and fucked up in various ways as you progress through it.

If there is one of the only IP that is perfect to be used for a Souls-like anime game, it would be Fate.

I love the overarching thematic of that memorial movie. Sure the animation is god tier but it won't hit the same without the music context. Same could be said if you switched those around tbh.
Someone commented on the original video and I believe it hits close to home.

"I can't believe they put the folly and determination of man in the same video" or something along those lines.

And that's what Fate Grand Order in particular is about. It's not just a story about bygone legends or even a struggle to save the future. It's all those things along with the most basic theme of all. It is a story about "you". A story about people who struggled and yet still paved a path for their own futures.

Nothing has made me emotional in media as that video ever. Every time I watch it the floodworks turn on. It's just too real. War, the people struggling, wishing for a hero to save them.... The lyrics itself! I mean c'mon! "What else do we have to sacrifice to live the life we wanted too". And I think the one thing that made it even better are the hands that keep shifting between timelines, reaching out for someone to hold it. And once Saber finally grabbed it the music started blasting. Bro it's just too good.

I think the best gacha games are the ones that end up funding their dedicated animes. It's a way to reward and give back to all the players that spent money on the game with some crazy good animation. Not a single frame in this animation is wasted. You can pause at any point and just see a piece of art so clean it's almost criminal to make it all pass by so fast, it's like sprinting through the Louvre.

Kingdom Hearts

People forget that Fate Grand Order used to be the most profitable and popular gacha game for good reason in a time before Genshin popularized the genre and introduced many people to the world of anime mobile gaming. I've been playing these games for years, and I can definitely still say with absolute certainty that Fate Grand Order is my favorite out of all them. The gameplay is definitely outdated; everyone can see it from a mile away, but the characters and story are simply unparalleled. The only reason more people aren't into it are for the gameplay reason above, and another being that people always become intimidated of the Fate series being as big as it is. I have no doubt if Fate made a game in similar vein to Genshin, it would blow everything away.

Fate GO and Another Eden are gatchas that are worth playing for the lore, and fortunately they don't have pvp and other stuff that makes you spend money.
Another eden is inspired by the best JRPG ever, Chrono Trigger, and it wa made by several of the people who worked on CT. The music is some of the best stuff you will ever find in any game.

This is so crazy. Fate is one of the things that changed a lot for me, I got hooked on visual novels after reading Fate/stay night. Funny enough, I never finished it. It's so good that I didn't want it to end while a lot of stuff was still not translated. I never watched the anime because the visual novel is a so much better experience for this series. Fate is my second favorite visual novel franchise, right after the perfect muv-luv series (Yes, including the Extra. I took a gamble reading Extra first, and that was one of the best decisions I have ever made).
It's interesting to see a visual novel go so far in so many different formats. Fate GO is a gatcha phone game, but it seems that the game really invested in what makes Fate great, so I will end up playing it.

Been playin since the game first dropped in 2015 (was seven days late thou). The gacha was pain in the ass but at least i know my money was well spent.

Ok Fate is like a huge serie on it's own and this trailer actually made me feel things inside my brain but Asmon reacting to it caries the experience to another level.

i have no interest in fate but MEN SHIT THIS LOOKS AWESOME! i enjoy watching the fights, too cause of the clean animations, the good looking shape of the scenes while they hit each other and the sound is very good

Funny thing when gacha game use the money they earn to create more thing like typemoon with fgo they have anime, manga, video game, cd drama, song and even remake of older game like melty blood or tsukihime meanwhile mainstream game try to copy their model just to cut content and sell it later and keep the money. They try to make the game hard instead of making it fun
