Base building is so time consuming, it just get raided by someone over night, now in Rust that's okay, cause you can bounce back fast, SCUM is a massive chore, but I love it

Only way this game will survive is if they can get a handle on the hackers. It's insane the amount that are out there now. That and need some sort of balance to the raiding. I've got 1100 hours and have been raided plenty of times but always offline. I gave up and playing something else until they release this to console, if that ever happens.

These games are adventures. Some days might be PvP. Some might be info videos, tips, tricks, hints. Every video has a theme. Not every video has to be PvP. This particular video is actually the video I’m looking for because I’m establishing a base on an official server and I’ve been wondering where I should build so this video is actually something I will be considering into that. I look at it this way not all videos are made for everyone, but everyone has a video that they’re looking for. Thanks for the hints from a less experienced player to a more experienced player. Your videos help us scrubs that ain’t got are foot in the ground!
Edit: normally I just have poop loot stashed in a bush. A garden somewhere close but not too close for food. And some near by towns for loot. But I want a fort for my main playing. Poop loot is back up loot for when I die. Back up gear, or gear to help progress. Once I have an abundance of back up loot. I want to establish a home. Right now I’m basically a gear bum with no place to call home 😂
And I’m a solo. So it’s challenging. To always watch my back, to check on my back up loot. I can’t progress with out a place to call home!

I love official servers, except for the fact that a Chinese person with a mod menu will destroy you for no reason. So sad.

What if the puppets were like dying lights lol. Screamers to activate the hoards. Be kinda cool rather than just skinny and fat ones. Have many different types

Just my opinion but, the less PVP in your video the better. If I wanted more PVP I'd watch more of your Battle Royale videos. The Torpedo factory is a great place to loot. I usually just go to the prison though. It's a lot closer. Lately by the time I take care of the garden and go check out the car repair bays at the airport and try to kill at least 100 puppets that's about as long as I want to play. I'm also trying a little cooking.

If we're going to use the well just give me a greenhouse with self watering hydroponic boxes like I have in No One Survived. I also have a really good yield. I also have a canning machine to can some of the foods i cook for them to last longer.

Official server are wayyyy darker you cannot see literally

The game map in Scum is pretty big which will always make it more difficult to randomly encounter other players. For everyone that prefers PVE, Scum is nearly perfect. I also prefer the torpedo factory as it's just full of good shit. There's the torpedo factory, the B2 airfield, the prison, regular bunkers, abandoned bunkers, lots of police stations, and a variety of less popular spots for good loot but all of this can easily have players scattered all over the map.

If you have 50 people online on a server, you have to consider how many of those players are at any of the 4 trader locations? How many of those players are at their bases instead of out in the game world? Out of the hypothetical 50 online players, that could easily cut out 20 of them from being out roaming the game world during the time you're in game. How many of those players are grouped up in bunkers, essentially making them out of sight to the rest of the online players?

There's so many options as to what to do and where to go which will always make it more difficult to encounter other players. There's not a good solution to this type of problem because if the devs add things to only certain locations that everyone wants to get, some people might not want to be forced to go to one location for something because that'd be getting close to the MMORPG dungeon crawling routine which not everyone is into.

You probably know of them already but there are some spots in the southern area of the map that has potatoes, watermelons, cabbage, corn, and several other food items. Sometimes they're out of sight in backyards of homes in villages. It's just not big noticeable corn fields down there and since you can't drink the salt water, there are plenty of wells and natural springs that can be looked up on scum-map website. Only real issue with the Z sector is our characters don't handle the heat very well it seems.

Far as screwdrivers go, I think you're just having bad luck. Since the update a week or two ago, I've been getting more screwdrivers than I can even use. I've played on multiple characters and they're all getting lots of screwdrivers. Earlier within 2-3 hours I got a couple of 39 use screwdrivers, and a 32 use one. The day before I got I think it was a 40 use, 24 use, and 12 use, on top of lots of red ones. Before that update I would play for hours without getting a single screwdriver even from puppets.

I get it that this game is "slow" , but this is not slow this isnt even the slowest game its more like playing pve. The most interaction you have with other players is raiding their base when theya e offline! , it shouldnt be like that and thats 1 of the big reasons this game isnt for a lot of people, i know u cant do anything about it

In the interim two, almost three months, look at the massive new games that have released, just in the survival/survival adjacent genre.

SCUM has a very limited window to make an impression. They are gonna get buried otherwise. Competition is rough.
