@Raxxanterax, another way to speed up finding the Black Mushroom is to know that the room with the mushroom does not spawn, when the exit to Cathedral Level 2 has a spiral staircase. So if you find the exit to Cathedral Level 2 and it has the spiral staircase you can immediately leave, and you don't need to search any further on that level. Your first two tries show very well, what I mean. In both cases there was that exit tile, I mean. On your third try there was that »normal« straight exit tile.

I cannot believe I did whole altar last season just by myself. I remember the pain restarting over and over again for the gemstone.

I don't know if this helps anyone for Gibbering Gemstone. But I just did Caverns of Frost and Chilltara wasn't there. I had nemesis bracers on and hit the shrine and she popped out of it. So pretty cool.

Great guide, was kinda unlucky with most spawns and drops and then the Gibbering gemstone dropped on first Cavern of frost. Took about 2 hours to do everything. Thanksss

Lol, solo'd this in under an hour...(thank you Raxx!!!) (saved me all sorts of time with finding black mushroom (doc.)) but liquid rainbow was super quick - just kept restarting game over and over and ONLY did bounties "Mysterious Cave" runs (no idea why you didn't recommend doing that - saved sooo much time) 2nd Mysterious Cave game got the Rainbow. Gibbering Gemstone literally was the fastest one... every one of my "Fields of Slaughter" had the Caverns of Frost and on my third Caverns of Frost I found Chiltara for the first time - and she gave me the Gibbering to me the first go, f- glorious : ) And again, if there is a bounty specific for Chiltara why not recommend people restarting over and over and just doing the maps with that specific bounty - That and with the Bounties obviously there is a yellow arrow pointing the player to exactly what area the needed location spawned - thankfully I got it so quickly solo! Absolutely fantastic video as always Rexx - massive massive thanks for all you do!

I watched 3 episodes of show (45min each) while checking Izual, shin and mushroom at the same time. Got only mushroom :x They drop rates are terrible...

Finally. Am upside to playing on console

To anyone who thinks this will take way too long (I did, and almost wanted to quit it) I still wanted to atleast try it, and see how far I could go before giving up. This is not a flex but more a reinsurance that is can be done fast. Blizz might have upped the chance for these items to drop. These are the tries I did for the items.
The plan: 20 tries.
The Mushroom: 10 tries.
The Shinebone: 16 tries.
I somehow already had the liquid rainbow, so I was ahead before I even knew it.
The Gibbering Gemstone: 7 tries!
I know some might not believe my luck but I would bet that after 4 months Blizz might have increased the droprate for these items.
So if you haven't done this, do try it. You might get lucky as me or find out that blizz increase the droprate.

And thanks Raxx. This guide was superb. I didn't have a group, but this was still super easy to follow.

for those who are on console you do not need liquid rainbow nor leorocs bone

I left D# years ago and was thinking of coming back, but f-that. Too much work to catch up, and Im not just talking about seasons. Leveling up legendary gems will take FOREVER! Especially since I have crappy gear now

It took me 4 hours but I found the goddamn Gibbering Gemstone solo. If I can farm efficiently using his guide, you can too. Don’t give up!

You can find the plans in the season , regardless if you found it already or not in off season.

I didn’t read all 850+ comments. But about 15 minutes ago I got my Liquid Rainbow from a Resplendent Chest on Floor 1. It was the only item that dropped. Just FYI if someone didn’t say it already.

Great guide: Also here is an extra tip: when leaving a game, it's faster to port to town then leave game (5 to 6 sec), rather than leave game from a map (10 sec). This adds up over time.

Thanks for the guide! I think I was extremely lucky. I got the Gibbering and rainbow on first try(!) I actually had the most difficulty getting the mushroom. Which was still only 15-ish games.

There are 4 dungeon spawn locations at the left side of the Fields of Slaughter, 3 of them are near the waypoint, the other 3 of them are in the far left, near right and far right.

Thanks for your help! Because i feel compelled to open every chest I see, I Just found Liquid Rainbow on 1st level in a resplendent chest. Also, while in Cathedral Level I, I found the special room with the 2 doors like you said and there was nothing. But since I had just started exploring the area, I continued and found yet another special looking room and this time I found it. Just thought I would pass that along. Been playing Diablo since the 90's and have been watching you now for years. Thanks for all you do!

Actually got all parts in about 1 hour solo, but I got very lucky and got 3 items to drop first time :D

I came back for the final season after playing D4 Beta and needing my ARPG fix. It's been 4 years since I've played D3. Fantastic final season before D4 release. Unlocking the seals has been rewarding and it hasn't been fast. The two cock blockers have been the Ancient Puzzle Ring and this stupid Gemstone. After 6 hours of farming over 2 days, the gemstone finally dropped. For those that are still trying to get it, have faith, it will drop eventually. @Raxxanterax: Great content! Found you via Asmon. Over the past few weeks I probably watched 8 hours of your content and it helped me refamiliarize my way back into D3. What is Augmentation? Answered. Echoing Nightmares? Done. Thank you!

Thanks so much for your video. I just got the gem on my third run, it was a breeze. Really lucky. Farmed the staff in 30 minutes. I guess I spent all my luck on this one.

Two people I know farmed their staff quicker it would take to watch this video. Gem first time and the rest of the mats mostly first time. Took me HOURS, mostly the gem :/ now if you'll excuse me I need to go and headbutt RNG in the face.

Would be nice if you mentioned console requirement is different…

On console, this all took me about 30-40 minutes. And only needed half the ingredients. Not sure why, but I'll take it.
