How to Build a Dog House

I know some people that would be jealous of that dog.

I’m 13 and though I do not own a dog I hope to at least learn carpentry to the point where I can build small structures like this!

So, how did the grass top work out? Water did not run under or through it?

I don’t have a dog- and am incapable of even holding a hammer the proper way- BUT I do have some outdoor cats and kittens that I want to make an outdoor home for and this looks amazing! Of course me actually building this is wishful thinking- but the design is just wow!

So I’ve been building this dog house and it’s occurred to me during the process at just how much has been glossed over in the video. Especially when it comes to the siding. Would have been cool to see what techniques were using to not only nail the angle of the sides, but also side the roof lip like what is had here. Jigsaw?

How much would you charge to build this dog house for me. I’m no carpenter. I tried a couple of times and wasted a lot of material, time and money. decent instructions.....your dog house is built for two newfoundlands.......build your house for the size of your dog...their body heat is what keeps it heated

Am I tripping. But the back wall is 41” horizontally making the dog house basically 41 “ in width… But the roof frame has a width of 44”.. making it. 3 “ overhang and now I have to reduce to 41” .. idk maybe I’m wrong lol.
