Disappointing Alleria was never allowed to confront Slyvanas after she became a Void Elf.

Since WoW's writers wanted to redeem Slyvanas somehow, they could have used Alleria somehow and not blame all of Slyvanas' actions on Sovaal.

Like, since Alleria had control over void energy (and I assume the Forsaken are connected to it), she and Calia could have confronted Slyvanas and forcibly restrained and purified her, turning her into a light undead like Calia is and making her confront all the horrible atrocities she had commited towards the world and making her go on a redemption arc across Azroth to atone for her sins.

VoId Elves were a mistake. Their history makes no sense and their population is probably less than 100 to call themselves an independent "allied race". Hell, they are not even a different race, just some edgy Blood Elves who fucked with shadow magic. They should have been some world NPCs instead to kill in a chain mission.
In my opinion, the Nightborne should have joined the Alliance and Horde should have the Ogres as allied race (or the Mok'Nathal)

Alliance gets both races that are heavy in both void (void elf) and light (light forged)? .... wait.. so the alliance was complaining that the San'layn were trying to join the Horde but they turn around and accept individuals that are saturated with the Void!?...... Wat!?

Was shadow magic always considered void power? I feel like if they're going to go down this road, shadow priest/mage should be its own class.

and that alleria windrunner keeps its alliagence to the alliance is even more incongruent... for the alliance almost wiped its species from azeroth, and yet still there she is... she should be like valeera sanguinar, a neutral force... maybe even the void elfs should be a neutral force...

it is incongruent that the alliance accepts the void elfs... just saying, has not logic really... they tried to purge the forzaken, which are practically the same as the void elfs... the difference here is that the forzaken were its people... it seems artificial...

I'm interested to see what they do with the naaru and army of the light- xera was really pushy and ominous.

I like how with the Narru turning to their dark side in times of great peril it portrays the idea that the most holy/righteous will do what they have to do to survive. And it's all 2 sides of the same coin

I kind of feel like Void Elves would have been cooler with some kind of specialized class... as an allied joke they're mostly an afterthought. They could be so cool in so many more ways.

Just realizing that Umbric's voice has become less deep and void-y since later patches. I think I actually prefer it. Feels more like a (former) Blood Elf to me now and less like a generic void being.

You know, in a way the Void Elves are the true continuation of the Blood Elf legacy.


The Night elves that tampered with the Well of Eternity and tried to summon Sargeras, or rather the rebels who realized they had made a huge mistake, eventually continued their arcane arts despite the lower class of Night Elves banning it, leading to the exile of the Highborn. Then the Highborn stole vials from the Well of Eternity that Illidan had made and took them to make the Sunwell. Becoming High Elves in the process and after their treatment by the Alliance becoming Blood Elves. Eventually those Blood Elves tampered with magic they shouldn't have and fed off of M'uru, eventually turning it into a being of Void. And then once again the Blood Elves that would not listen to the warnings of their people chose to pursue shadows and became Void Elves.


Every single time, they are punished for their actions and the next group does not learn from the lessons of their ancestors. It's a little funny, but mostly sad commentary on the obsession many elves have with power. Illidan himself was so obsessed with it he became part-demon and created a whole caste of demon hunters just like him of both Night Elf and Blood Elf lineage.


And let us not forget the Nightborne, who became so dependent on the Nightwell's energies to survive they were at the mercy of a tyrant when Elisande struck a bargain with the Legion. Though one can hardly blame them for not realizing they could have stopped feeding off the Nightwell and taken down the barrier. Perhaps it may have saved their race. It certainly preserved their city and culture perfectly and made for one of the most fascinating zones I've ever explored in an expansion.

Ethereals are so fascinating. Have you done a video about them and how they’ve seamlessly integrated into our societies, both in the very hearts of the Horde and Alliance.

I finished the long ass grind for Nightborne only to be greeted by the Night Elf /dance but holy shit! At least it wasn’t a complete reskin like the void elves! What a pitiful way to make horde/alliance equal !

See a pattern which is common for most people under a given "cultural" ethos in this videos: Void has a hunger, while the light has a "will to spread its goodness around.
While the void gods whisper and lead you to madness, the light "gives you strength to do what is just". Just according to ..well ... the light.
Everything said about the light can be said about the void, the same way. It is just a matter of point of view. That is what in another video becomes a problem when Nobbel talks about Alliance aggression vs Horde aggression. It is only more problematic about Horde and Alliance because we play those, and the void and light are foreign concepts we use in our characters but we dont actually are defined under them, until now.
However we are being consistently shown that light and shadow are more of a balance than a conflict, much like we are being shown about Horde and Alliance. Sadly, people dont give in to that idea and trash an otherwise very interesting story to be told.

While Alleria is making her intro speech when you pick void elf, it all sounds like "Sith" brand logic. Someone on the design team is a huge, dark side, Star Wars fan. That whole speech sounded like the line a Sith Lord would use to justify the Dark Side. Anduin is all, "yeah I'm cool with it, just try not to kill to many innocent people in your quest for ultimate power ... good luck." These writers ... jeez.

After Jaina and her lackeys went all kristallnacht on them in Dalaran, it is no wonder that the Blood Elves will never trust the Alliance again.

I hope we get a story line following Alleria and the Void elves during BfA.

Okay, so now the High Elves are extinct? It does feel kind of silly to call these "Void Elves" their own race, when they are technically still High Elves. I mean, a priest Void Elf? The pain would be unimaginable. I could see a "Voidcaller" class as being a better choice, maybe a mage-like class who uses debuffs and high power spells and summons. But then again, another exclusive class for the elves would be a bit excessive.

I don’t know what happened to you over the years, but your English is very painful for me to listen lately. Maybe it’s just microphone setup, but I can hardly understand half of stuff you say.
