Thanks for the great video Patrick. Just getting to grips with Power BI reporting but at work we host our reports in Power BI Report Server as we currently run on-prem. Are these embed codes a feature of the cloud service only or are they available in Report Server also?

The only way we can find to run reports from an iframe is by taking the report URL from the Report Server web portal and add '?rs:embed=true' to the end.

However, the embed code you show appears to use an ID instead of a report name.

I embedded powerBI report in my website but its asking to sign in to powerBi. What if the user viewing it does not have powerBI account, I though the userId and password must be embedded in url in encrypted format. How to skip sign in, is there any way?

I have a situation that I need to do this same thing in a cenario that all the users have a Power BI Pro License, but I want them to login with our organization's login, not with the Power BI account. Is that a way using an API or something that allowa my users to type our login and get access to the secure embed report?

Is there a way to pass credentials to the secured link through the URL?
I want to use the embed URL inside a portal which would in-turn display the report on a TV screen. So here the requirement is to have a secure URL but the login would be a service account which should not need user intervention.

Hi Patrick and Adam, In my organization, we have 5 members. All 5 members have Power BI Pro licenses. If we embed the report in our organisation(user own data) then confirm I need embedded capacity or not? Is there any specific capacity required except the 5 Power BI pro license?

i notice that when you try to open first like it open in i.e. browser and when open the second page it open in google chrome that already you login with your account on power bi so the report open without ask for login

1. To access the Secure embeded report does User need Pro license?
2. In case User can be a free user, does the report need to be published in capacity (what's that?) Can I build the capacity with Pro license or it has to be azure capacity? My organization doesn't have premium license. But we wish to make these reports available to free users within the organization. Can you please publish/help with how to build the capacity within Power BI Pro and/or azure?
