Anyway I'm a begginer, so can anyone tell me why there are many artist underpaint the drawing first using dark brown even if u want to make a light colour on top of the underpaint ? I kinna still don't get it

What pencil was used during the drafting process?

At chapter 10 where you are working on details of the faces, how did you get them to be so smooth and more detailed? Is that the linseed oil? I'm guessing you mixed the linseed oil in with other oil pastels to create that effect?

Artworks is beautiful as always. Quick question, do you find that the fixative spray actually works with oil pastels and chalk pastels (if you happen to use those). I ask because I can’t quite find anything that’ll truly protect and keep oil pastels and chalk pastels mess free. Thank you.

I’ve had this video in my watch later for months now and I kept putt off watching it because I wanted to watch it as I painted so that it feels more aesthetic that way and I have to say you did not disappoint. This video is so Bernadette so aesthetic and quite inspirational too it just was really amazing to do art along side you and I just HAD to go to your page and see your other works after this.

I just started working with oil pastel. You are exceptionally good. What is the substance of oil you coat the wood with first? You work it like a real oil painting. Is it linseed? Turps? I have a lung disease from being a hairdresser and being exposed to all colors and perms and nails then I retired and stared oils that was the kicker, odorless thinner and turps. So I use oil pastels only blending the them with swab or clay shapers and corrugated cardboard for continuous lines like sor blinds or wood texture. How do you set them so they don't scratch or smear? I'm truly inspired by your work. Tyfs! Onna
