For the septic arthritis- Isn't it also possible for the answer to be gonococcal arthritis? Especially with a negative culture so you do NAT? Tx with ceftriaxone? But the question stem will mention a younger adult with risky sexual activities, perhaps a rash, etc? just want to make sure to differentiate between regular s. aureus septic arthritis vs gonococcal.
