Eruption nerfed - Here's 3 alternatives to it...

I feel like the best change would be change it to 10 percent of current progress and start regressing but instead of aura read Incapacitated for 5 or 6 seconds would still be a viable perk but a lot weaker

Is the 10% total or current progress? The game simply states 10% worth of progress. And the wiki states ''-10 % of their total progress'' and yes I am looking at the 6.6.0 change. I know it states total in the wiki but I want to make sure because I've heard conflicting information.

Hey big O can you rate my Nemi build brother? I don’t have many killers so I’m kinda limited only got 4 prestiged which are, (doctor, hag, nemi, and onryō) but here is the build lethal pursuer, eruption, call of brine, and bitter murmur. I’m not the best player by far only 3-4 days of playtime.

These builds are shit

Fearmonger is cruel on killers that can get around quickly and quietly, such as Wraith and Onryō.

So... They will nerf everything soon enough so you don't need any perks at all xD. Of ourse not survivor perks. Devs of this game are brainlets.

Eruption was always a sleeper perk and it’s buff sent it into the stratosphere with power

Now they give killers better reasons to tunnel or camp, pretty good job so far👏

I'm honestly hating the shift of total to current it seems there doing it just knee caps these perks, & instead of adding this text to perks that don't require you to waste time kicking a gen, like pain res, they give it to pop.

All this will do is to encourage the 3-4 gen strat. With old eruption you could commit to a chase for more time giving more time to survivors to finish the gen if you couldn´t get the down, with new or no eruption killers will enforce the 3 gen strat making the games longer and more boring for both sides

I just dont understand how the devs do not even understand their game, and it really is the only game where one team can alter their objective to make it easier while making the opponents job way harder. It's literally cat and mouse, with the killer having to hit an enemy TWICE in order to get a hook, three times on each survivor <--- that's the killer objective. The survivors have to get through while doing gens. But why can the survivor literally extend the killer's objective by having up to 4 HEALTH STATES and INFINITE healing which almost immediately nullifies the killers progress, while also having a numbers advantage. I dont see how these devs cannot see the inherent problems. Newsflash for all the people thinking they should be able to loop killers for forever: SURVIVORS SHOULD BE CAUGHT.

YES I KNOW GEN PERKS EXSIST, guess what? they've been nerfeed to the ground everytime, meanwhile Dead Hard is still in the game since almost the game's inception.

I really like the change of eruption, it is too overused.
People will have to search and make different builds which is great for them too.

Honestly they should buff everything else instead of nerfing the good ones otherwise perks can stop feeling impactfull

Eruption isn’t even a good perk.

It relies on wasting time smashing every generator you come by and often letting Survivors escape chase in order to use.

Not to mention most Survivors now stop repairing gens until after a Survivor is hooked to avoid setting off Incapacitated.

They only nerfed it because people used it a lot not knowing how weak it was compared to other ACTUALLY OP perks like Overcharge and Hex Pain Resonance.

Survivor mains rejoicing in Eruptions nerf will find out what real tunnel hell is. Bhvr can't nerf that!

I really hate the change, geniuenly the perk is basically dead.

They could have just nerfed the incapacitated status and called it a day, but from what I'm seeing here they brought Eruption out back and just executed it when no one was looking.

The fact that they really suck at doing balance changes on this game is what really turned me off of dbd.

Survivors be like “Don’t worry, we just run Breakdown or/and Distortion to deal with pain res or/and eruption” 😊

I have been using killer builds with barely any gen-regression perks and having the most fun of my life. The games are hectic and fast paced and can come down to the wire but it feels so well earned.

Killers seriously have been nerfed this year. Nothing but survivor buffs and killer nerds. That’s why behavior is constantly looking for killers in lobby. Playing survivor is basically playing on east mode now

Thank goodness. Incapacitated needs to go, period. Surely there's something, ANYTHING better than "do nothing" that can be added to the game. F Eruption.

The problem is killer is being made more and more RNG. Pain resonance for example can be devastating one game and a dog turd the next depending on RNG factors such as what map you get and where the hooks end up at. Eruption was reliable and consistent. I think we are going down a road of more and more camping and tunneling because those tactics will give you consistent results despite the other RNG factors.

Is dead hard being nerfed too? Cause if it's not that's a load of crap

Why must those who play killer be the only ones to live by this mantra?

The aura read isn't really useful unless you want to slug because by the time you pick up the survivor and hook them that aura is long gone. Does this mean we run into more slugging builds???? The incapacitated is the most important thing because it prevents them from working on the gen and gives you time to hook and get to the gen to defend it.

This isn't a balance change, this is gutting the perk.

I would love to tell you my opinion about Eruption, but unfortnunately im incapacitated right now.

I'm not even playing killer anymore, or this game tbh. they nerfed my nurse and now this perk lol, yikes.

i started playing dbd like a couple days ago after not playing for a year and im having an absolute blast as killer (even in sweaty lobbies), idk why people are always complaining about this game, like it's not that big of a deal, i actually really like a lot of the changes bhvr as made

So i suppose that next dlc killer will have a new powerful gen stalling perk...

Bhvr are so incompetent they somehow infected their own community to believe it about themselves. We just went years in the game kicking gens and getting your ruin popped in the first 30seconds and this perk does all your work suddenly and people need coaching on how to live without it? Mad

The amount of times I get gen rushed, I'm horrified if they start nerfing slow down perks. low key probably won't touch eruption when Pop and Oppression exist.

What alternatives?

If they are nerfing eruption, then they need to nerf prove thyself as well.
