Muslims/Moors controlled Sicily and a two thousand years before them, and Christianity the Carthaginians controlled Italy until the rise of the Roman's.
ОтветитьSeems like you dont venture outside of the west but JAPAN would be really cool
ОтветитьCurrently the nations covered mostly reflect a very euro-centric or western oriented theme. Two parts.of the world that are hugely overlooked are the middle east and China.
For the middle east I'd suggest a history of the Persians including the various Persian empires in mesopotamia up to and including modern Iran.
China would be fascinating with its various dynasties.
Most overlooked of all but arguably the most significant based on its historical and contemporary implications would be a video on early Islam, the Rashidun Caliphate, the Umayyads and the Abbasids - and how we reached the modern middle east.
Also a look at the Turkic peoples of the Ottoman Empire would also make for a great video.
Finally the development of meso-America including the Maya and Toltecs would also be very interesting.
Italia was always going to be Italian 🎉🎉🇮🇹

In the 700s in fact they had a duke of Friuli, which is my father‘s hometown, and he was German, so our area was run by the Aryans until Charlemagne, which was a very famous general who was French came and attacked us and ruled over northern Italy, so there’s like no Italian in us lol It’s all French and German and welsh lol

You would be interested about Garibaldi's Freemasonic connections. He actually forged the Freemasonic Rite of Memphis-Mizraim. It was a huge catalyst for the post-Risogimento nationalist movement across Europe. Members of the rite were some of the greatest esoteric thinkers of the late 19th and early 20th century. It gets more interesting with the balance of power of the rite shifting to Germany during the Volkisch era, in which a member of the rite named Rudolph von Sebottendorf started the Thule Society which ultimately have birth to the NSDAP.
The reverberations of masonic influence over nationalism is fascinating because the concepts of supranational organizations like Freemasonry are held as diametric opponents to nationalism as a political ideology. That obscure history illustrates a false dichotomy between the idea of globalism and nationalism as complete political movements.
Interesting figures:
Carl Kellner
Theodor Ruess
Aleister Crowley (lol seriously)
Guido von List
Lans von Liebenfels
von Sebottendorf
The Termudi Family
Check it out if you get the time.
