Rivals = TRASH 🗑️

mw 2012 and rivals are my 2 magnum opus in this franchise, and that MIGHT become 3 cause I can actually play heat on steam now. The reason why I loved 2012 is because of multiplayer. They killed it. I had a blast playing all these events and driving towards the meet spot to meet with other players. No other nfs game does this. (singleplayer sucks ass yes)
As for rivals, I don't really have to tell anything, phenomenal game as well.

Heat and unbound feel so slow and heavy in comparison to the others.

Highly disagree with the mw2012 one. It was one of my favourite nfs games and the first nfs game I played on a deskstop but hey maybe im part of the minority who enjoyed the game so i respect your opinion

i still hot pursuit (ps3) rivals and heat, i have all the others on this list but i find that these three are the best not only because of the cars but because of the gameplay and police, i love to just mess around with them

Late to the party, but PS4 just got released, pre order NFS Rivals, and got platinum trophy in just over 24 hours. Game was great but way to short and easy.

Need for Speed Most Wanted 2012 multiplayer is it's biggest strength. On Steam the multiplayer is still alive and the graphics is amazing so not sure why you would put it down so badly. Lighting and color could also be adjusted to fit your preference. Only reason it gets hated so much is due to the Most Wanted name because overall the game is really fun and gets into the action quickly. Progression wise is bad for sure but gameplay and entertainment wise, it is solid. Even today, you'd hear those who hate it still come back to play it and forget that they were talking badly about the game just a while ago and just enjoying the game. Look at the comment section and you can tell, even with it's flaws, it is still considered a really enjoyable game. At least it's better than Hot Pursuit Remastered which somehow looks worse than the original and yet requires higher spec PCs. If you want to play Hot Pursuit, just pirate the original. The Remastered is an absolute scam.

last time I checked at Steam, Heat got 90% off and I brought it even I finished the game story, Unbound also seem da best.

NFS MW 2012 should be easily Tier B+ or even A. I remember hated it so much at first because I was expecting something like the 2005 version. I left the game untouched for years before I gave it a chance. And after a while, I really like it. It is one of my favorite NFS games and still have it on my PC today.

Nfs heat is best game

It really hurts seeing people defend MW2012. Sure nostalgia and all that but the game in general just isn't that good. Drifitng was fun sure but it came with the cost of crashing your car each time you graze anything. Game should be called Crash Your Car Sim instead. ZERO customisation, and when you get the chance to customise it's all about RNG. Loved the map though. Loved the car variation as well but they put THE SAME EVENTS you have to play to unlock the upgrades for every car which got boring very fast. Ofc 0 progression yall know that. Sound design, great.
What differs it from the og MW: Cop chases are nowhere near as intense. At no point in the game where you actually feel like you're THE most wanted. Has 0 story, and even if 2005's story was cheesy, there were still CHARACTERS and character bios. *they could've also remastered the speekbreaker mechanic from 2005 and made it even better and more badass.
This game would've had a better reputation if it wasn't called Most Wanted cuz they're nowhere near similar.

The only problem heat has is that the story mode is really freaking short, they just make you grind for so long just to complete a really short story. oh well, i still loved the heat because of its gameplay, progression and customization so its 4.5/5 for me.

Apart from Hot Pursuit and Heat, all the rest were, meh!!!!. Especially Most Wanted. That game had no business being rebooted because it was NOTHING like the 2005 version. And don't get me started on NFS 2015 which was ONLINE ONLY, and Payback which was FULL of microtransactions.
