Ash x Gou is the only one that even makes sense. Ash x Serena is completely one-sided and doesn't make any sense for either of their character development. When Serena kissed Ash, Ash just stood there and didn't even do anything, he looked confused. Ash and Goh have a unique connection. They both have their own goals but they still compliment each other perfectly. Serena and Ash would be better off as friends, but Ash and Goh found their missing parts in each other by growing together.

Only real issue is Ash/Satoshi's Japanese VA confirmed Ash isn't capable of feeling romantic attraction. He loves everyone but only platonically, romantic is off the table. Essentially, Ash canonly is aroace which does make sense when you think of all the times Ash has been really confused on things regarding love and even being grossed out by it.

But I love satogou so much...well, fandom does it good I suppose but it's unfortunate it won't be canon since Ash can't feel attraction in that way.
