Best place i've found contreband is in the Jaffa system, at the Vulture location on the Jaffa IV planet.
I've found arround 30-35 contreband items for a total potential sell value of 400,000 credits, enjoy.

Not worth dealing with contraband items. Maybe there will be a mod for it. Modding seems to be the way for(almost) everything Bethy does

You're right, it just isn't worth it if you do the math. I take 3 items from a Crimson ship I boarded, now I have to go to Wolf's Den. I get 4k. I'd rather be bounty hunting or fighting spacers. I can get 10k from credsticks and opening safes in one run.

I just go to the police department and steal their evidence chest of contraband and cross the street to the fence and sell them for an easy 20k.

The den in the wolf system there is no scan.

Just a heads up you can kinda farm it by boarding crimson fleet ships and taking there loose cargo in the ship

Ive got 2 shielded cargo parts, 190 each and a 50% scan jammer. Im not sure why but i still get 0% evade chance

One Final tip that didn't make it into the video is that boarding crimson fleet pirate ships are a really great way to get contraband items. Some ships will have multiple contraband items on board. Happy hunting!
