I noticed your hotshoe is in metal, did it come like that or you bought a 3rd party hotshoe? Mine was in plastic
ОтветитьOddly got them at launch... Oh well ..me good tip though, maybe they have
ОтветитьYou pulled the ad200 out of a velcro case.. I need to know where you got this, been looking for something like this for a long time!!! 😊
ОтветитьI want one for my lumix s5 mark ii, which one do I buy ?
ОтветитьThe accessories on the V1 c, which are magnetically attached, fall countless times and this drives me to despair...
Ответитьcolor is not accurate enough, otherwise good
Ответитьis it compatible with canon r5?
ОтветитьY does some peeps have so much negative energy😅 chill its only a point of view in experience...yr vids r dope keep doing what yr doing
ОтветитьWireless Triggering was introduced by Metz please correct yourself.
ОтветитьFix the audio, too low
ОтветитьFYI the battery has a 120-day warranty only (at least here in New Zealand) and at $89 a replacement is not cheap either. This fact aside the V1 is a good flash I have used it and I like the even spread of light which is far superior to my much loved TT685. FYI only one other minor gripe is the fact that it is rather bit top heavy which becomes rather noticeable when mounted on a mirrorless body.
ОтветитьTerrible sound and review. Who cares that you bought 5 flashes outright 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
ОтветитьSuper nice video but fell or the chair and walked to the otolaryngologist after that explosion
ОтветитьI like your video, but Westcott lights are better, but more expensive.
ОтветитьHi, nice video, was surprised you had to combine 2 AD200s for your product shoot! Just wondering what kind of workflow required you to have so much wattage since the shots showed you were working with still objects at close range.
ОтветитьSince these are educational/informational videos, you might want to mention at the beginning that Flashpoint (that you portray) is the Adorama re-branded Godox (that you speak of). People that don't already know this might find your video confusing (along with repeatedly referring to it as the "Canon V1). Also, I would say that the main strength of Godox is not necessarily the innovation, but the innovation for the price. You can get plenty of round-head flash innovation from a brand like Profoto - at 4 times the cost.
ОтветитьI love the V1S, I have three of them and have used them for a couple years now with great satisfaction.
HOWEVER: Two have broken, one the flimsy hotshoe (easily replaceable, 4 screws and a $20 part).
The other stopped firing entirely, suspected a faulty trigger coil. It is not a user replaceable part. Apparently MANY folks have suffered this issue.
I tried replacing the flash tube just to be sure it wasn't that... no good.
I'll still buy another one to replace it, but just be aware, these things do have some weaknesses.
Probably good to buy a backup to have on hand in case one goes out on you during a shoot.
Sound effects too loud voice too quiet
ОтветитьHi Ricky, I too am a newbie and would like to know, do you use the flash at night, on cloudy days, indoors, or when the settings are not enough to achieve the shot you want? For example, do you have to use a flash at night or can you just open the aperture/shutter speed to a lower number? Thank you Great video!
ОтветитьI just found your channel and noticed your V1 is the one sold by Adorama under their in-house brand name. I have the Godox branded version and I bought the Accessory kit you referred to as well. I highly recommend the accessory kit because for the small amount of extra $, one gets a really well thought-out and configured kit.
I also have the Godox V860II and several of the Godox triggers that allow me to utilize non-Godox flashes with my Nikon flashes in a mult-light set-up.
Great review and I just subscribed.
Do they over heat?
ОтветитьThanks
ОтветитьI own (2) AD400 Pro's, (1) AD100 Pro, (2) TT685's, (1) TT600 and last, but not least, (1) AD200 Pro. I would like to start doing events, so my question is this: with the AD200 Pro, I also own the H200R Round Flash Head and the Godox EC200 Extension cable. Is that a good idea to take on events or is it a bit too wonky-lol? My reasoning is that by never having done events, I don't know how much power I would need in certain situations, like low light. Also, by having the extension cable it would lighten the load of carrying the camera and give me the flexibility of a flash head to bounce flash. Would you recommend a V1 over the AD200 kit? I would like a V1, but just wondering if it's necessary in my case. Thanks in advance and for posting your videos!
ОтветитьI just sold my v860iis it broke I replaced the hot shoe mount godox is good and 🗑️ at the same time 😭
ОтветитьI'm already invested into Nikon CLS so can I integrate Godox to share anything or create a new i-TTL wireless system? I wanna share between multi size portable macro & sports events press work.
ОтветитьDoes it work with evf?
ОтветитьIm about to order the AD300 Pro and the V1 for my first lights. What do you think?
ОтветитьIs this too much flash for a Sony a6400?
Ответитьthe flash you show says flashpoint on its front. Is it the same one as the ones that dont have that name in the flash?
ОтветитьThis information is useful, but I spent so much time listening to you either ramble or fill the air with filler comments. I’m not saying this is insult you, I’m saying this in hopes that it will help. I think if you condense your videos into a more streamlined experience, people would be more likely to click - and stay for the video. Your lighting and audio look incredible, by the way.
ОтветитьThanks for sharing, love the editing and intro, great points I totally agree, V1 is a beast.
ОтветитьDo you have a tutorial video showing how to connect the Godox v1 light to canon?
ОтветитьThanks for the video. I have 2 v860iis. Are there any advantages to the V1 over these flashes? I’m getting great results with the v860iis.
ОтветитьWhy is it called flashpoint if it's godox?
ОтветитьYou're whispering and then your sound effect fried my eardrums.
ОтветитьWhy you keep saying CANON V1? Are you a spastic?
ОтветитьI bought a v1 around a year ago, and found that it occasionally sputtered andd flickered light spontaneously. After a little while, it stopped firing; i took it in for repair and they replaced the controller board. Now it started sputtering again....
ОтветитьYou are very easy to understand....
ОтветитьHi great video. Now do I need to buy a xpro trigger with the V1 to trigger the ad200 pro or is the V1 an adequate trigger? Thanks so much
ОтветитьMOUNT BROKE ON DAY 2!!! Like SO MANY OTHERS HAVE. Sony version. As this is NOT a new or unknown issue, WTF Godox??? POS mount!!! How can they sell this utterly infamous garbage??? Where's the corporate pride or professionalism??? I'll be returning this severe disappointment.
ОтветитьAwesome, thanks man! Really helpful
ОтветитьAs photographer we invest in great cameras and killer glass then we buy cheap flashes.
I had a flashpoint flash lock up on me for a championship photo
Sold that crap and bought two profoto lights and I have never looked back
Why That noisy intro?
Otherwise great review.
I agree 100%! I currently own a Godox AD 200, 400 and 600 and will be adding the V1
ОтветитьThe intro and sound effects are way too loud and your voice isn't loud enough.
ОтветитьRicky, great review..... do you know if the V1 is compatible for use with a Leica SL2?
ОтветитьCan you use the Godox V1 with the MagMod flash modifier system?
ОтветитьThat transition audio is way too high compared to your voiceover. Literally painful 👂🏼
Ответить
