I've become a bit obsessed with the sequel to this latest version of Balala the Fairies, with the seasons theme and the gorgeous outfits. But it is so hard to find and watch, even without translations. It's a shame that a magical girl franchise with such a long history is so inaccessible to people who don't speak chinese. I'd love to see it be brought over in some way! Whether through a dub or subtitles.

I don’t understand why the eyes are brown, I searched for the series and they all have fantasy colored eyes. Not that the brown is ugly, far from that, but why not make them a fantasy color? Maybe because they wanted the color to match all the girls so they wouldn’t have to change individually…? Idk ToT

I think the bodies are the same as some cheap AliExpress dolls have, the only difference is the ankle articulation.

I worked at an elementary school until a couple months ago, mainly working with 1st-3rd graders and I can confirm KIDS LOVE MAGICAL GIRLS!!! I would frequently make up and draw characters for them to color when I could and design them magical girl sonas and it killed me that there was little media I could easily recommend to them - especially because the majority of them struggled with reading at the pace they'd need to read subtitles. If there was a dubbed magical girl show readily available to them (with beautiful marketable dolls like these) I can garuntee SO many kids would eat it up.

And with such beautiful clothes like these, it's already so easy to see here how many adult collectors already love these.

The way I've been able to tell poly hair lately is it defies gravity, I turned my neon frights ghoulia upside down and her hair remained exactly the same haha

For me, Balala The Fairies is something I've always been curious about. But never had the time or interest to look into. Although I do love some of the designs. And the dolls don't seem half bad either. So I might give it a chance someday.

Yea I love the show even though I don’t really understand it. I remember watching the live action version and it was actually pretty fun.

I really like they try hard on the clothes (layer and details) but The body looks like the knock off or recasted version of the old volks/obitsu 27cm fashion dolls (not exact but it looks almost similar to it)

they are super cute in profile view, and the inset eyes are pretty, but agree some variety in the sculpt would be a nice touch for future releases

These dolls are so cute and very nicely detailed! However the head on the blue girl looks like it was pulled off, and stuffed back onto the neck giving it that squished head look like how a barbies head would look if her head was pulled off and twisted back onto the neck if that makes sense. It's weird cause she's the only one that has that vibe going on. The other two look fine lol I've always been interested in watching Balala but never found decent subs for it. If it had subtitles I'd definitely give it a watch! I'm always down for more magical girl content! <3
