These young women are far too young to make such a huge decision. To never fall in love, have children, travel or work in an outside job. Far better to go in later when you have some life experience. Reminds me of the film 'The Nun's Story'.

I have such a respect for people who feel so strongly called to their faith that they devote their lives to it. I'm not a religious person, but I'm happy that these women have the choice to serve their God.

The nun group that chooses to not buy their own food and get donated food seems odd. Like then ppl r just helping you? Aren’t nuns supposed to be of service to the community? Like I get she said something about it putting them on poor peoples level so they can relate, but if they are going to soup kitchens on some bizarre principle… aren’t they taking food from ppl who need it?? Genuinely asking bc I grew up baptist (now agnostic)so it makes zero sense to me.

While living with some Catholic relatives I had to live a Catholic life. A nun came to speak in our CCD classes. She said they wear normal clothes. She was awesome. The story of her calling was hilarious.
