ОтветитьTim, Have you or would you drive Johnny over a leach field? Do you think this tractor weight would cause damage to leach field lines?
ОтветитьVery helpful
ОтветитьThe grass looks lot better mowed high at 3.5. To. 4 inches. I think anyway. I,'m looking at buying a good used 1025r off a friend 2017 with 240 hrs. EC 16K. Good deal, fair price you think??
ОтветитьI have the John Deere z370R
Ответитьi might be considered fussy, but I have my old mower 48' deck for tight and rough areas, my X350 with bagger on for the lawn areas ,a dn of course the 1025 for the back paddock and of course the loader, harrows, rotary hoe, loader, post holer, ripper and pipelayer etc. . .
ОтветитьSold
Ответитьmost people have a push mower? If i had a push mower i would have to push it, no thank you
ОтветитьWish I had you around so I could try one out never used a tractor before but just order my new john deere 1025r hopefully I can figure it out lol
Ответитьisnt that the same decks that come on the X series? Those are basically lawn mowers? It should cut just as well since using the same deck? Am I missing something?
ОтветитьFour wheel drive use that what the hell i have this tractor and thats all you need and back off when it spins its all in the feel and you don’t have too have the engine rpm at 3200 to cut in a steep situation i use four wheel drive its only a flick of the lever forward and out in the other direction combined four wheel drive and diff lock it will get out of any situation i have a front end blade on mine and once you break through sod which only takes a few minutes with the corner of the blade left or right because you can hydraulic angle it easy on the go and the front end quick hitch has down pressure it will easily lift the tires of the ground great for changing tires etc and the steering circle is shorter with it two wheel drive but if your in a steep angle situation use four wheel drive and speaking of pushing dirt i have pushed dirt down to ten feet easily its all in how much talent you have or hydraulic fingers which means you have a natural ability too do practically anything with machinery or vehicle’s it’s the feel in your hands and feet like a drummer or any musician lol and have some brains which a lot of people obviously just don’t have so its the operator more than the tractor’s ability that matters or with anything in life its how smart you are not how good a machine is made if you don’t know what your doing don’t blame it on the machine or any mechanical device but give a talented person a great device and it becomes a extension of there nervous system and then you will see unbelievable things happen with that particular piece of equipment or tool or device or whatever you what too call it it’s all in the brain power but if you have no brains then don’t even bother cause its a lost cause 😅.
ОтветитьDeere is overpriced.
ОтветитьDeere tractors are too overpriced.
ОтветитьCool video, funny nosey cats…
ОтветитьLooking at one of these tractors to mow my property, would you say it could safely tackle a 25 degree slope if it had a counter weight on the front?
ОтветитьI am considering this for my 3 acres. But I’m worried the weight of the machine and industrial tires would just be bad for the lawn with regular weekly use. The wheel paths would eventually compact an make ruts. Then the grass would die. I’ve seen this in yards the have pros cut their grass. They use heavy ZTRs and this is the result. I’m in central Indiana/Illinois area with typical sandy topsoil and average grass/weeds. My yard is no golf course. But it looks great when it’s mowed.
ОтветитьTim , Ordered the deck stands from Mudds customs.
Listed an upgrade for bigger wheels.
Ordered 2 stands.
All they sent was 2 wheels.
Their website is very misleading.
So is the cat a shop cat? Love it!
ОтветитьHi Tim, thank you for the video! I had a bx2370 without the cab, purchased a 2380 with the Curtis cab, I have a 15-20 degree long narrow slope I mow weekly with the mid mount mower deck. The 2380 feels very top heavy, (gives me the pucker factor big time) whereas the 2370 felt very comfortable. Any suggestions? Or is it just me? My slope is nowhere what you were doing mowing the ditch in this video.
ОтветитьThe guy on the bike vanished ......................WOW !!!!!!
ОтветитьPlease don't blow cut grass onto the road - very dangerous for motorcycles.
ОтветитьWe have a Woods PRD-8400 grooming mower. Best cut quality I've EVER seen in 60 years of cutting grass!!
ОтветитьDo you have a video on adding the roller to the 54D deck? I am about to buy my 1025R and want that roller if possible.
ОтветитьThat’s one high quality cat
ОтветитьToo bad these and similar tractors don't have a front locking differential or at least a limited slip, would help quite a bit in situations like that hill.
Ответитьwhat height of grass could you cut with the mower deck, I am considering this model for topping my 2.5 acre paddock that has horses in it.
ОтветитьHi Tim, Not sure if you monitor these older videos or not - I am wondering about your thoughts on Wheel Spacers? I just purchased a 1025R and after about 5 hrs of operation have decided to try a set of 3" wheel spacers. I have a brush hog - not a belly mower. My property is mostly flat or sloping though also have a section that is hilly and rolling (apple orchard that needs to be mowed) . I saw the ditch your friend was mowing in and was surprised he didn't have tipping issues. Am I missing anything? Thanks for the videos!
ОтветитьI noticed that you have the Radial Versa Turf tires. do you like? would you recommend? I will be ordering mine in March.
ОтветитьTim and Kristy (S) I agree with Earl Smithson (below) If you could become "paired-up" with a dealer (Good Works) then real training could be done. You would need some petty big acreage for "school". I'd love it myself and it would be all of the maintenance greasing, cleaning, and tire changing/fix-a-flat, as well as, operating specific attachments and sharpening blades etc. Think about how you'd train you child in becoming a driver!
If there is a problem with training tractors , maybe the class should be limited to people committed to buying only?
love watching the tires turn backward while it is going forward :) Great video
ОтветитьStay away from anyone operating a tractor thats wearing Under Armour tennis shoes. SMH.
Ответитьhello tim...i ran across a bobcat compact tractor video and the guy said that he had to watch out for overheating his tractor when he was using the belly mower in the summer..he made it seem like it was an issue for most compact tractors so i was wondering if u ever had any issues with overheating in the summer while using the belly mower? thanks in advance...
Ответитьblowing grass out in the street i hate seeing that! ride down the road on your bike.... thats the pucker factor!!
ОтветитьI came for the demo and stayed for Martha.
ОтветитьVery helpful video. Didn't know you were in Indiana. I live just outside of Gas City, IN. Been researching tractors have pretty much decided I will be getting a John Deere just trying to decide what I want. Want something a little bigger than the 1025.
ОтветитьPurchased a new 1025R today, pick it up tomorrow 😁
ОтветитьHold a protractor or inclinometer in front of the camera to show how steep some hills are. :) Nice video.
ОтветитьHi Tim- Got a prob with my Bessie JD1025. We have some slopes in our yard. Not the whole yard. However, it's enough as to where my tractor feels like it's going to tip over. Any suggestions? Wheel weights for one side?
ОтветитьInteresting. Slid just like a zero turn on a hill. Maybe turf tires and weights would hold better?
ОтветитьHey what's up with throwing grass into the highway? Very irresponsible and very dangerous to bicyclists and motorcyclists.
ОтветитьTim and cristy you have some really good videos very helpful I actually just purchased a 1025r just for mowing I have a xr4150 cab tractor for most of my other projects I have had it for 3 years and has 200 hours also a great tractor
I was disappointed to see the grass blown on the road hitting grass on a road on a motorcycle is like hitting ice almost
Here in Illinois it is illegal as well
Hope you don’t do that anymore for peoples safety and keep up the informative videos
Hi Tim. Great video. Which deck makes the tractor more stable on side slopes - 60D or 54D?
ОтветитьThank you Tim Christy & Nolan I’ve learned she will not still let buy a 1025R but when I do I’ll know a lot thank to all of you
ОтветитьThe tease on the single point connection! You have my attention :) Here's hoping it works for the h120 loader (and bonus points if it supports a diverter as well) :)
ОтветитьAs an owner of an X570 with a nice diff lock, That 1025 is an absolute beast to do that ditch. I use my diff lock every time I"m in a ditch, because it just feels better, more stable than without it.
ОтветитьNever have to mow your yard if you let people test your 1025 every week.
ОтветитьThis was one of the best comprehensive vids showing how the disconnects and reconnects function. I'm currently researching compact tractors so I can purchase one this Spring after the mud season here in Vermont. I have to mow about 3 acres of steep terrain (over a 25% grade) and my Cub Cadet XT2 is just not cutting it (pun intended). Since I really want the ability to utilize a bucket, belly mower and brush hog I think this JD 1025R fits the bill for my needs. Thanks again for the demo and I'll be sure to have the dealership let me test one out before I purchase a new one. Thanks for sharing.
ОтветитьPlease don't blow grass into the road. Or rocks ;)
