Another interesting episode from Crash Course. Thanks for sharing. I’ll have to go back and split the video into segments in order to digest the material. I’d also love to hear more about Indian history. Keep the videos coming.

THAT WAS AMAZING!!!! TOO AMAZING!! Goated. I like how you openly complimented guys who don't get any credit and how you kept the term they even though you were talking mostly of men. India seems to have been a super mega powerhouse that SOMEHOW i didn't know nothing about (only that they gave us the best philosophy and prophet ever) and this feels like a hideous crime.

PLEASE do more on them, much much more. Bring full series of east history for our Eurocentric world; now i know you have an infinite content just with them.

All of today’s knowledge in India and Hinduism is only a portion of the real scripts and knowledge that existed , but as British colonization stopped orally passed knowledge

Just want to point out to the creator here that Buddhism and Jainism are not "austere rivals" of Hinduism. In fact, Hinduism is the parent religion of Buddhism and Jainism. The Japanese hold Hinduism in very high regard as Lord Buddha better known as Siddhartha was originally a Hindu and Buddhism was only one of the branches or extension of Hinduism. The underlying ideaology of all three faiths is the same.
And yes, I'm a Hindu and I live in India.

There is another mistake, although you have done good research, vedas never prescribed to sacrifice animals and the the people of India were were entirely vegetarian until the invaders, the turks and arabs came around.

Many inaccuracies in this vedio. What is Sanskri's script? When is the first time this script has been recorded? First manuscript of Vedas dates to which century? Information about Panini is wrng too.
Don't do just Wikipedia researchers. There is no credibility to such vedios.

Thank you for publishing such an informative video on Indian science! I have learned a lot from this, like that that we should not always give credit to one group for discovering something. There may be others who also found these concepts out too.

Hey there! Nice effort. But please revisit the timelines of Vedas and evolution of civilisation in India. Your research might have introduced you to the "Mahabharat" era as well. There has been a lot of development which will tell you that evidence of "advanced" science/culture dating 3000 BC have been found. This will certainly challenge the current theory of who influenced whose philosophies.

I believe ancient Indians knew that writing or inscribing knowledge wouldn't last long and determined that the human brain is the best way to preserve knowledge, therefore making everyone memorize vedas early on in their lives and making them recite these vedas everyday to make sure they don't forget these precious knowledge. These vedas will then be passed on to the next generation through the same methods, preserving the knowledge for millennia.

@CrashCourse: You are misguided. The greeks didn't introduce astronomy to Indians. It is the other way around. They stole it from India. Indians know about star paths and other stuff. It was written in Vedas.
