I like the features of S23 ultra, but I'm stuck with the pixel since the pixel 2XL. Especially the camera, and many other features. So, can't change 😮.

I have an s20 that is still going strong. But just sort of want a change. I'm in between a s23+ and a pixel 7 pro. The s23 ultra just isn't appealing to me and here in Canada is nearly $800 more. The s23+ is $500 more. I have to go 7 pro right?

with in one year of use Samsung will also gives you some free screen lines too... lol also you buttons and back glass will come off for free... so for me Samsung build quality is zero... but I love everything else about Samsung. still it is not worth to spend so much for a broken phone I mean in near future

I haven't used either yet but since I can't afford the S23 and the pixel pro 7 is on sale right now for $399 ($800 savings compared to the S23) I chose to go with the pixel pro 7. Hope I like it.

Very recently purchased a Pixel 6 pro. I was gonna go for IOS because I've been using android all my life. Pixel gave me a reason to stay with Android because the phone is buttery smooth and fast. The best Android experience I've had so far. I see the Pixel 7 pro is even better. I hope they work a little more on the battery and I'll prefer this phone for a lifetime.

I honestly choose the S23 just for the sole purpose of the Snapdragon 8 Gen2

But I have to admit the Pixel 7 Pro is very nice!

Have a Galaxy S10+ 5G and have not looked for another phone. Why ? simply because it does what all of the rest of the phones can do and its still zero cost to me for the phone of course.

I just wish the Pixel watch was better. The Galaxy Watch 6 looks awesome and sounds like blows the reported Pixel 2 away. The Pixel watch is too small, and ecosystem is king in mobile products right now. Although I do love my Pixel a series earbuds.

I had and currently still have performance issues with my S22 Ultra, which is making me want to move away from Samsung. Their UI is bloated and buggy and often times I am experiencing the phone freezing under light tasks, such as unlocking the phone and opening and closing the camera (complete lock up with using the camera).

Okay vid, sounds like it’s just a video to look down on the pixel instead of a comparison….. it doesn’t matter what the pixel has or how good it is, seems like you were just going to give the win to the Ultra.

The choice for me would be easy with going with the Galaxy Ultra... I just can't get over how tacky the back looks with all of the cameras on there. The Pixel Pro looks a lot better and more elegant in that regard. I have held onto my S21 for longer party because I like the bezels surrounding the entire camera area, VS the several individual elements like on the new Ultra's.

Great if you want a toy to play with but after Google butchered the OS they are less useful than my trusty old P20 Pro from 7 years ago. Damn shame you can't upgrade your old Android phone anymore. I have never purchased an Apple product but it looks like I must buy one this time around.

Just ordered Pixel 7 Pro and with trade in of my Samsung S22+ was relatively cheap. Google has the Pixel 7 Pro discounted from $899 to $699 and offered $400 trade in for the S22+ making the price $299 plus tax on the $699 price. Do not need S Pen and do not use my phones for business since retired guy. Never had a Google phone and hope not disappointed. Did read that 51% of Pixel's components are sourced from Samsung which I found interesting.

Specs aside the s23 ultra looks more premium in my opinion. I personally use s21 ultra and more phone than I ever need and had a s9 before that and enjoyed that. But my dad has an old pixel 3 and says he still likes it. Samsung and Google are the only way to go if avoiding apple

(Big comment)

Having had a pixel 7 pro since april, it was a amazing phone, especially the camera, it beat the s23 ultra and iphone 14 pro in blind tests....
But thats when it wasn't being buggy and glitchy, had a system UI failure about 6 weeks in, which made the screen go black and unresponsive, had to talk to a google tech advisor who got me to do a bootloader to get it back, it crashed and stuttered sometimes, had signal dropouts and would sometimes say no internet even when i had 4g signal, bad overheating which made it ludicrously hot when doing anything moderatley tasking such as filming video, streaming, playing games (including marvel strike force, which even my old old galaxy s8 can run without overheating) and charging with a compatible charger which was partnered with the phone by the supplier.

And the overheating also caused the camera lens glass to pop because the metal in the frame expands slightly, and the repeated stress caused the lens glass to pop a pea sized hole and cracks through the rest of it, which google knows about as a frequent enough flaw that they now offer repairs for free if it happens because it was happening to enough people that they could face a class action lawsuit id think.

However i sent mine back recently as too many flaws and errors, and repairing lens glass was pointless as it would likley pop again as not all of them have overheating. And they sent me a refurbished phone which had had its main back panel, camera lens glass and screen replaced... so clearly been heavily smashed... so obviously i am unhappy.
if it was cars, and i sent back a new car due to manufacturing problems, and they then sent me a insurance write off which had been totaled in a crash and then repaired, i'd be equally unhappy continuing to pay for new when owning a write off repair 2nd hand.
Replacements when its manufacturing faults should be new or at least superior in quality, not inferior.
Thankfully my contract provider disagrees with what google did and is happy for me to return the refurbished one to them for either a new one or swap to a s23 ultra or other equivalent spec phone. Not using it, and using my old s20 for the time being.
Is a shame as i got a really good deal with the pixel 7 pro during easter special, and besides the bugs, glitches, crashes and UI failure, and other issues, it was a great phone and an amazing camera.
But if im allowed a swap to a s23 ultra at no extra cost, i think i may do it, as the P7Pro design flaw and other issues and the battery life on my original one being as poor as my 3yr old galaxy s20+, combined with them trying to fob me off with a 2nd hand smashed and repaired replacement instead of new when it was manufacturing faults that made me need to return it, i have lost a lot faith in google and the pixel.
Debating using my s20+ until the pixel 8 pro is out, but that depends if the camera frame has a similar metal material.

Thanks for the video though, its made me lean more towards swapping for the 23 ultra, it does have the more powerful processor, i do prefer the look of the cameras on the previous models though especially the s20 and s21 ultras, the simplistic design on the s23 ultra is a bit too simplistic and looks like a A13 with a couple extra little lenses, doesnt look premium on the back i dont think.

I've been tbe owner of the Note phones for many years. I struggled to hand back in my Note 7. I have had a change of heart since the intentional downgrading of phone performance by Samsung with their clever little updates. What worked perfectly top notch last year suddenly struggles this year to perform. The software updates from Samsung are designed to get you a new phone much sooner than is really needed. It is a scam nobody really talks about because they are all hyped to get the newest thing. I don't think Google is as bad about this and I will divorce my love for Samsung and get a Pixel 7 Pro. I will have to say goodby to 1TB storage and my S pen though. From your video I see the Pixel 7 Pro camera is much more solid of a camera and picture and video taking mean much more to me than the storage and S pen. Too many days dealing with my Samsung turning into a slug from downgrading of software just to pull more money out of their customers. Oh yah! I just hated Bixby on the samsung phone. Always accidentally turning that stupid thing on drove me nuts! Now they replaced it with some news thing I dont want to accidentally open all the time. The side windows were quite annoying to as my hand touches them often. My Note 9 now dims so low in daylight it is impossible to see. I have to run to the shad of a tree just to see something on the screen. This is all Samsung downgrading the phones performance so you spend more money. I'm so done with their phones. While many Samsung owners are forced to turn in their old phones Pixel users will still be happy with their old phones performance. The extra $300 is just a joke. The phone wont stay at the top of its performance 3 uears from now whether you take good care of it or not. The money you save with a Pixel is much greater than $300 because the software will be kept up to standard much longer than the Samsung.

I came from an iphone 13 pro max to a pixel 7 pro. The one thing that amazes me is how far android has come, basically on par with iphone. I went all in on the pixal brand and got the pixal pro head phones and pixel watch. its all on par with iphone and other then find my iphone app for keeping track of the family I haven't found anything I miss.

I just imagine people buying pixel 7 pro thinking that its smooth and fast and when they buy it just realize that their phone is not smooth, lags and freeze... :P Its a little better than the trash pixel 6 pro... This shit was the opposite of an iphone in smothness... S23 ultra is as smooth as an iphone. I change my 14 pro max for s23 ultra and i no regret it! Even after 3+ months without restarting it is still buttery smooth as day one!!! Really good work from Samsung!!! And my first samsung after 10 years! Finally with a snapdragon!!!
