When you have it fully up and running, will you show the difference in performance with and without the stick?

I reach 1.5 FPS without movidius, freeze final Cnn layers, decrease neurons of dense layer and strides every layers. I hope at least 15 FPS with movidius by simplifying the model

Hi, I installed the virtualbox extension pack. On settings, I attached the moviduis stick under usb3 and have the check box for enable usb controller. Once I inserted the movidius on the ubuntu desktop, I went to Devices->usb-> and click on the usb stick and I get this notification "failed to attach the usb device to virtual machine ubuntu. usb device is busy with previous request." Any idea how to resolve this? Thanks!

Does your laptop/desktop have more than 20GB, or are you using an external harddrive?

I can't get the make examples to work with the VM running inside Windows 10. I'm only given the option of USB 1.0 in the Win 10 VM.

Mark, another way cool demo! Thanks for the go-by. Have you, or any of the folks following this video series, discovered a solution to USB connection issues for the Movidius stick when using Win 10 Home as the host and VirtualBox as the client? I've tried all of the ideas posted that I have been able to find, but during the "make examples " the VM is losing connection to the Movidius USB; which resulte in an error - [Error 7] Toolkit Error: USB Failure. Code: No devices found. Thanks Mark.

I could see that you created a VM on a Linux SO. What kind of hardware do you have and what OS are you running?

Every desktop computer and laptop in my house run Windows 10. And if you stay up to date with Windows 10 news you know that you can install and run Ubuntu 16.04 without the need of any type of third-party virtual machine software. This is called 'Windows Subsystem for Linux' and can be done like so:

1. Open power shell in administrator mode
2. Run: Enable-WindowsOptionalFeature -Online -FeatureName Microsoft-Windows-Subsystem-Linux
3. Reboot your computer.
4. Search for Ubuntu in the windows store.
5. Install and run once to set it up.

After that, you will have a start menu entry and Ubuntu will now start and run in regular windows command terminal.
Then just follow Intel's instructions on their NCS quick start guide to installing the SDK (They use wget so you don't have to install Git).

Hi, I have a quick questions as I am confused a bit. You start downlaoding Ubuntu and then open a terminal and start using Linux commands. Are you installing Virtualbox on a Linux OS machine ? In my case I have a Windows machine where I am installing Virtualbox. Your clarifications would be much appreciated.

I succeeded in naming objects, but my project gives different names to the same object. For example, objects0, person1 in frame0, person1, person0 in frame1.

why do we need to install virtual machine? i am getting trouble while starting virtualmachine. is it not feasible to install ncsdk directly in our laptop

I am still a bit baffled here, are you using NCS2 at this time? Because in the git clone -b command there is ncsdk2. Is ncsdk2 for NCS2?
