Might be from 7 years ago, but still relevant. What else can one expect from a modern society that proclaims care for everything, but really doesn’t actually care or take pride in anything ? Buy sanitizer spray and wipes before checking in and clean everything yourself. Though I still would advise sleeping on top of the comforter with blankets you brought with you.

I knew people that would steal pillows and pillow cases i always thought that was gross.

How do they check into the same room the next day,??

This makes me angry, poor housekeeper probably has more rooms to make beds in than she can cope with. It's back breaking work, not surprised they cheat, put the clean linen on the bed and let the 'guests' make it themselves. As for 'disgusting' you want to see the state people leave the rooms in........

I checked into a Marriott in Boston, and the maids were having sex on the bed, but dashed into the adjacent room when they heard the door. There was a lit cigarette in the bathroom, and sex toys in the sink.
Yuck. I left that hotel.

Exactly why I bring my own sheets! Lmao been doing this for years. Rooms aren't clean because hotels don't adequately staff their hotels and rush the little housekeeping staff that do have on. Either way it's super effin disgusting to not change the damn sheets. There could be all types of fluid and body soil from a complete stranger with nasty hygiene or a communicable disease. Gross

Yet people don't think twice about their nasty unsanitary dogs laying on bedding. But here they're like- "I can't sleep here. A person has slept on these sheets!".

There is no hotel corporation that changes the sheets every time. You guys should check under the beds next and the bathrooms and inside the ventilation the water lines and let me know what you find. Don't say I didn't warn you.

They spray so much of it that it probably goes through the sheet onto the mattress protector underneath.

Lie and sticking too it about changing bed set.Every room got an extra bed set 50rooms100sets laundry staff and house keeper. So make sure its done right gm.

As a former house keeper I'm disgusted...I took pride in my work..and always Always made sure everything was changed it was the first thing I did...strip the beds..

Not sheet related, the manager in first hotel is holding a flash magnet duster this is 6 years ago and that duster came out a year ago unless America had them first

This is why one should not spend a lot of a money on a hotel room. They all likely do not clean sheets routinely but only if the sheets appear dirty.

I always make sure to soil the sheets with my shoe or my eyeshadow to let the next person know the sheets were not washed.
I'd dip my finger in my soda or coffee and mark the sheets. I don't care.

We need you guys to revisit those hotels and see whether they now change the sheets.

And sometimes they don’t clean the towels and washcloths like they should. Imagine washing your face with a washcloth that washed someone’s bottom side the day before. I used to do property maintenance on hotels, I’ve seen housekeepers start washing machines with no detergent in them. Only dirty towels. 🤮

Changed sheets does nothing for what has been on/absorbed into those NASTY mattresses....they could atleast use cheap plastic zip up matress covers, that get replaced no less than 3 times a year. People go to those places and sleep on fluids and other things from all sorts of people, I personally find it 🤢! If I have to go to one im bring an air matress and put it on top of their bed and use my own pillow and blanket, or bring a plastic cover just spread it out on top of matress not necessarily enclose matres it in but just atleast lay on it.

it mostly come down to bad management, maybe underpaid maid, and overly profit seeking corporations, because the victim is always the consumers, buyer beware market.
