Your videos have been very helpful! If traveling with family, does everyone need their own Suica card, or can that be scanned multiple times for each person? My understanding is that the Suica card can be used in place of cash more generally (can be used with vending machines, bike shares, etc.) and can be used in place of tickets for the train, subway, and bus. I am guessing it is only used for unreserved trains and not for trains like limited express of Shinkansen.

Your videos are great and helpful for planning my 2nd trip to Japan! I was hoping to visit Tsukiji for some sushi since I saw one called sushi zenmai is open 24 hours but you said some shops here aren't high quality or reasonable. How can I tell which one is worth eating at?

How about hotel near Shimbashi station, is it an easy station to go around Tokyo ?
Especially to see cherry blossom and go to entertainment area like Shibuya and Shinjuku area ?

Very helpful, I've been preparing my trip for September and didn't know we could just add IC cards into the phone.
I tried to transfer the Suica card I bought 14 years ago when I visited Tokyo and it worked ! 740 yen were still on it ... Amazing !

I'd like to have your opinion about public transportation: I'll rent a place in Akihabara and, if I understood correctly, there is no "universal day ticket" for both the JR line and the metro lines, do you think it is reasonable (or enjoyable, maybe the surface train is something that I should try!) to use only the metro or should I always use a 72hrs ticket and a Suica card? Hi Kenchan. I am happy to have stumbled on your channel. It is really informative and just the kind i need. I am preparing for my 2 weeks trip to Japan on 30 June. My flight gonna arrive in Osaka dan returning from Narita. I am trying to plan my itinerary to something like 3 nites at Osaka, 1 nite at Hiroshima,3 nites at Kyoto and 6 nites at Tokyo. I am contemplating to stay nearer to Narita Airport on the last day considering the time to reach airport by train is an hour as i need to reach airport by 0700am. Please comment . Thanks.

A lot of the information you provided is spot on, leaving for Japan in the morning for my second trip to the Country and I can say business hotels in Japan are great if you want a cheaper place to stay. APA is a good one and the one I use personally. There is one in Akihabara across the street from Yodobashi camara, which in turn is right next to the trains there, there is a 7/11 on one side of the hotel and a family mart on the other.
