Would’ve Been Good If The Reward For Doing This Annoying/Madness Inducing Quest Was A Perk That Would’ve Been Called “Barenziah’s Whisper” (When Used, It’ll Make All People Ignore Any And All Crimes The Player Does, Cooldown Is About 59 Seconds) This Would’ve Also Given The Player A Increase In Lockpicking, Pickpocket, And Illusion by 15%
ОтветитьJust one more reason I don’t play as thieves because no self respecting thief can resist not stealing such a beautiful stone but to do so would be folly
ОтветитьThet's the best one. sorry
ОтветитьNoooo not the ninroot quest lol
ОтветитьI dread the time when I pick up something weird in Starfield and it starts a quest where I need to collect a bazillion of them from all over the galaxy.
Oh wait that's the main quest.
At least the Crimson Nirnroot eventually respawns and it is all in one general, if very large, area. The stones do not roll this way, and they're almost post-game material with what you need to do to get them. To my knowledge, you can't permanently miss them, but I'm not sure if that is actually a mercy.
ОтветитьMe who only took the Beacon- and has been narrowly avoiding these crystals- Sneak 100
ОтветитьLooks like someone's never touched the beacon before
ОтветитьSo I found a mod that replaced them with Maxwell the Cat & they play music so- Lil easier to find atleast (and funny to just see someone sleeping while the stones just playing its music).
ОтветитьI just got the mod that locates them all
ОтветитьI've said it since day one but you should be able to find the stones by using Clairvoyance
ОтветитьThis is a worse version of The Legend of the Star in Fallout: New Vegas.
ОтветитьI expected Atleast 10,000 septims not a perk that basically makes me Steve from Minecraft
ОтветитьOf all the playthroughs I have of Skyrim, I've only ever completed this quest once. The idea is fine, but the fact some are locked behind certain quests, and some can only be picked up once in the whole game without mods (I. E. the Thalmor Embassy one) can make it a real nightmare!
Fortunately for those who want to do this quest, there is a mod which moves the stones out of locations which are typically inaccessible or can break the game.
It's sooo sadd!!! I luv it. I feel it.
ОтветитьI just never picks these up unless im doing a sneak build
ОтветитьUsually people say meridia quest is annoying and you can't get rid of the beacon in your inventory. For me, this collection quest is the worst. It take your forever to collect them, you can't get rid of them, and I assuming the weight will add on if you continue collecting them all. Also the end quest rewards is crap. At least you get the sword that kill the undead.
ОтветитьOh god, I picked the first one up about 2 days ago. Honesty I don't know if I'll ever do that quest. Same with Meridia's Beacon. When Vex gave me no location i immediately thought "awesome I get to go look through every single dungeon I've completed incase i missed one so I can collect 22 more." Until I ran into those two quests I didn't think it was possible for any of the quests to be boring/annoying
ОтветитьPurple nirnroot takes like 15mins, doing a lap around a cool location and i get a sweet alchemyboost for that.
Yes. I take this quest over bore-nzias stones all the time
Quality audio there at the end.
ОтветитьDoes this relate to the unusual gem I have had stuck in my inventory for who knows how long? 😅
ОтветитьActually love this quest...
ОтветитьWrong the worst quest is meraidias becon
ОтветитьHell, 120 nirnroot in Oblivion was a cakewalk in comparison to these 24 bastard stones. Of course, one of them is usually close to a certain beacon.
ОтветитьI'd think Hank would be more interested in collecting these rocks
ОтветитьI finished the quest. Now Im drowning in jewels that have no value to me anymore, flawless cuts of gems easier to find than salt piles in fish barrels.
You have to commit to at least three major guild factions, climb up the steps to High Hrothgar, infiltrate the Thalmor Embassy, buy the most expensive property in Skyrim, commit multiple acts of murder and larcency, and traverse the longest bug infested Falmer ruin I ever had the displeasure of skulking through.
By the time you gain the crown in its full splendor to display at the Thieves Guild, you're most likely rich enough for gold to lose tangible meaning. It's the ultimate test for a thief, but you peaked. There is absolutely no reason to continue being Guild Master.
I liked the idea of this quest in concept honestly. It’d be like breath of the wild’s korok seeds maybe, you collect them as you go out on your adventure. The way it was implemented was incredibly unfortunate with all the permanently missable ones and the biggest spit in the face the solitude house. 4 prerequisite quest to even be able to buy the thing, and by the point you have 25k gold you probably don’t even have any use for prowler’s profit anymore
ОтветитьOne of the many bugs in the PS3 version Bethesda never fixed prevents me from completing the quest. It's annoying. Oh and my companion also vanished in a ruin somewhere. Can't find her, can't remarry.
ОтветитьAfter you've done this quest numerous times with marker mod, you no longer need them later. It's easy to remember where they are even if you don't remember the names of the locations
ОтветитьThe worst is kill Paarthunax, Emotional Damage. Sadly, i just notice this after betrayal him
ОтветитьThis is the most anti-OCD quest I have ever seen. I MUST COMPLETE IT! 😵💫
ОтветитьGood thing these take no space, like with all quest items in Skyrim
ОтветитьThere's just 24 of them?
I expected there to be 900 of them.
12 years later and I still haven’t found all of these little fu@#$&*
ОтветитьI was a bad kitty in my quest to obtain them all.
ОтветитьUnusual Gems vs Crimson Roots
Ответить0.5 carry weight goddammit dude
ОтветитьFun fact: Before you talk to Vex you are able to transfer the stones to chests such as your house. But after you talk to Vex, the stones are locked to your inventory. So just don't talk to Vex for a while.
AND FOR GOD SAKE, DON'T MISCLICK
I'd rather start this quest than "a NeW hAnD tOuChEs ThE bEaCoN"
ОтветитьHey, that's not Meridia's Bacon. Always though it was funny looking bacon, but daedra, am I right?
ОтветитьA new hand touches the.... oh...
ОтветитьAnd this is why we have mods...
Ответить30 nirnroot is a cakewalk compared to this. not to mention the buff is a cool alchemy buff, and not one that makes you more gold even though in order to get all the stones of barenziah you need to buy every house in the vanilla game, meaning you already have all the gold you would ever need.
Ответитьi don't know if it still works but after you talk to vex and get the quest part with numbers you could go to a stone and SPAM the crap out of the pickup button and get multiple stones at once, think my record was 5 out of one stone.
ОтветитьI absolutely hated the lack of quest markers or hints. Like how tf am I supposed to find all of the without some kind of hint? It would take ages to check every single house, cave and whatever just to find them. And for 99% of quests I had no clue where I was supposed to go so I ran around aimlessly until I eventually found the right way or a quest marker popped up
ОтветитьI actually try to complete this quest bc at least I can get rich bc of the reward why bc everytime I go to a dungeon and urn or chest i get like what 3 or gems flawless or not and I can just sell them to someone to make my self rich and I already have enough gems to drain someone of there gold without stealing and tbh here that's the best part about the quest
ОтветитьI had this once couldn’t find it so i deleted the game
Ответитьthe only mod i use for vanilla playthroughs is the barenziah map marker mod because i hate it
Ответитьlaughs in googling the locations of all the stone
Ответить
