What a problematic and chaotic plan.
1) Regarding the palm, solar power everything.
2) Treelined streets with solar power covering significant portions of the roadway or at least covering bicycle pathway, or at least shade cloth like the Saudis did with the 250 sun shades for pilgrims in Medina so people and plants can survive and/or not be miserable.
3) Solar powered desalinated water.
4) Every roof is solar powered.
5) Don't build the islands at sea level.
6) Do one project correctly before starting the next one.
7) Move the dirt used to create "the world" to the other Palm or crescent projects
8) Put plants on the land until building happens.
Google maps shows different picture. One could clearly see trucks doing the sand fill work
ОтветитьI build models such as these and other kinds. there are always something to maintain in projects like this one. the fact people don't see sinking and cracks yet is because the geographic location on the land and sea. dubai is located not on a sea but a big Harbour. the downsize of such a project is water being stagnant. and purying effect of the water. one would need constant water flow and sea floor marine life. it looks amazingly well built but there is no room . people satcked up like potatoes and tomato harvest. ideally the developers wanted to create wealth on these lots. it's a never ending tax collecting revenue on property.
ОтветитьI feel like this is a paid infomercial
ОтветитьWhere does all the shit go, how do they handle all the toilet waste and garbage go?
ОтветитьThe water between those shapes is getting stagnant with algae growing. Investors are now getting afraid
ОтветитьIt will sink and people will start leaving
Ответитьanother arabic shot show, imagine building a vanity project just to prove you have money and...a debt of 70 B USD with 90% immigrant labor force, hello dubai <3
ОтветитьThis video is a waste of time
ОтветитьA wise man once said do not build your house on sand. Live and learn.
ОтветитьDumb. Could have built it inland and create a moat around the properties to give that island effect at a fraction of the cost and time.
Ответитьlol...the woke scientist activist must must prove that climate change is real or else all there funding will be cut...
Ответитьdubai has amazing developments going on its a great place , but i think the Palm was more to show the world what dubai can do not taking into account the rising sea levels
ОтветитьYou don’t need to be an engineer to know that the built up sand aggregate in the ocean isn’t a permanent substructure to inhabit infrastructure like roads and housing. It will melt like ice cream over the years. Even a rock wall built a couple hundred meters out from shore has tremendous movement bcse the subsoil underneath is sand! So if Reclaiming land in flood zones always end up in disaster, the ocean is a complete disaster ! What is happening on our planet is scary. We will all be slaves to the elite if we don’t stand up
ОтветитьImagine they spent that much money on helping Palestine
ОтветитьI love Dubai
ОтветитьWhy was Burj khalifa there
ОтветитьI think these man-made islands will sink into the sea in the future, if not now. The sinking of such large structures is slow, so the properties you will buy from the islands may not last 30 years and 50 years.
Ответитьbut still better than my city Jakarta.
Ответить"From dust to dust"
ОтветитьSo they deny it sank by 5mm, because that would break windows and show cracks, but say instead it sank by 25/64 inches, which is actually 10mm.... Anyone care to explain that?
ОтветитьI love Dubai🌹
ОтветитьI pray that the island will be alright, a lot of hard work went into building it.
ОтветитьIf i was the company selling houses i would say my island was not sinking either
ОтветитьInvestors are fool. No one should play with nature. The soil will erode anyhow even a child knows it.
ОтветитьWhat about the nasty, putrid waters around the palm "fronds", caused by them being protected by the wall? Why did the "engineers" not allow for that?
ОтветитьThis sounds like a commercial for the project, probably paid for by Nakheel.
ОтветитьKoenne wir ebenso fuer 200 billionen sogar terrorissten wie extremisstenfrei
ОтветитьNothing built on sand, will stand.
Stop feeding lies
This is not an1 illusion. This is your lifetime.
If you have money, invest it honestly. Otherwise you're a useful idiot destroying what's left of our world and natural resources.
It’d be cool if someone can find a use for desert sand.
ОтветитьIt will sinking with time .....
ОтветитьAlso gegen seebeben ist diese statt sicherlich nicht geschuetzt.
ОтветитьContinuous Contact with Water is never 100% Safe!
As long as Seawater is moving it's slightly moving some Sand with it.. no matter if in 20 or 50 Years.. it will deform..
From Experience even Concrete will rust in 50 Years and there's an Equation to determine the Depth of Carbonized Layer/Surface
I believe the question should be, is the 12 Billion dollar investment sinking.
And who is going to fix it, before it is too late?
Or should it be allowed to sink, and start over?
And should it be allowed to sink, and never make that 12 Billion dollar mistake ever again?
Where is subtitles please
ОтветитьCould the Palm Islands also be proof that "Climate Change" is a hoax? 😁
ОтветитьNAKHEEL is a state-owned corporation.
This video is satire, right?
I dont know
ОтветитьIn your 'sand wall analogy' how wide is this wall? You only mentioned a height...so how are we supposed to put that in perspective. Is it one atom thick? 10ft thick? What gives
ОтветитьLol, what's with the grainy film effect? Construction only started in 2001.
Ответить🤓
ОтветитьBecause of the slave labour these Islands are cursed and will be swallowed by the sea in the future.
ОтветитьPropaganda piece : 14,000 workers, did you mean to say slaves?
Says 5mm sinking - but all good, all knowing government, which is definitely not authoritarian, says it’s not true.
This video is sponsored by Arab oil and blood of foreign workers.
Ok
ОтветитьWhat a contradictory mess. A survey team says they measured 13/64 inches (5mm) of settlement per year. The authorities deny this, and claim there'd be cracks and broken windows forming. Then the video goes on to say that the authorities say there has been less than 25/64 inches (1 centimeter) settlement per year, which is well within natural limits. So they admit to higher levels of settling than the surveying company measured that they claim is wrong. How does any of this make sense? Can't make heads or tails out of this video which claimed settling, then denied it, then claimed even greater settling. I've learned nothing.
ОтветитьI love how palm island was built to "BLEND IN with its surroundings". lol
Ответитьwith scripts good video
ОтветитьTorch of creations knowledge createvity is passed from one generation to next.
