AIRTAGS with iPhone XR & OLD iPhones? | we don't all have new iPhones with U1 chips | livinglikelee

What are your thoughts about the AirTags being used with products that DON'T have the U1 chip inside it?
What about the possibility of using the AppleWatch Series 6 (that has the U1) in the future?

I love the AirTag. I put them everywhere, lol. I put one on my girls backpacks and on my three year old. Literally put it on a clip and put the tag on the loop of his jeans, he’s a runner so better safe than sorry.

Thank you so much, i was thinking about getting one for my backpack because I will be in the city on a daily base the next year, but because of my iPhone XR I struggled if it would even work.

Now I know it works (I’m sure I won’t need the direct location thing) so I will buy one, this video was REALLY helpful
