Older BR locos never had cab lights they had to rely on a engine lamp sat on the tender or at the back the cab they had actual cab lights fitted in the preservation era also the loco that you passed was a Ex LNER 4-6-0 B1 and the 2-8-0 was a Robinson 04 :)
ОтветитьHi
Ответитьmystery engine is b1
ОтветитьI personally just suddenly came to realization that that they certainly mentioned that there's a specifically wonderfully great balancing act between the regulator as well as the reverser to maintain momentum!
ОтветитьI'm horrible at Train Simulator, so you did a great job. I think they kicked me out of the school...hahahaha
Ответитьamarica did
ОтветитьWhat about your gaming channel?
ОтветитьGood video. Learned some more of the controls. For uncoupling the loco is on the right side, have to scroll
ОтветитьRailroads online is way better.
Ответитьnot black five but a B1!
ОтветитьYou keep calling the B1 a Black Five...
ОтветитьI’m shocked nobody has mentioned eight freight blues.
ОтветитьHey Sam, terrific graphics of what!? How about the SDJR route out of Bath Green Park ? Regards Terry
ОтветитьUsed to have fun with Microsoft TrainSimulator (2002 era), which isn't much older than DTG's Train Simulator (20xx, classic). Its locos and rolling stock files were text files. So a friend and I would modify some of the locos. We got the Acela to hit about 700mph. A steam loco with no carriages pushed to around 1,200mph!! We used the "don't derail" option. When the map ran out of track and hit the bumper stock, it launched the loco about 300ft into the air and flew about a mile or so before it crashed into the ground. It was spinning, etc. Ah...
Train Simulator 20xx/classic is 2010 gaming tech. It's still pretty good, but the game has so little flexibility - even in "Free Roam" mode. Go a bit too fast, miss a stop, etc = game ends.
.
ОтветитьYou should try Steam Sounds Supreme’s stainmore shap and eden valley, it’s honestly the best route I’ve come across. Lots of great scenery tonnes of locos and challenging hills and bends, as well as being straight up beautiful.
ОтветитьSam's nice video by the way thats a b1 not a black five nice driving by the way like the 8f
ОтветитьVery interested in train simulator but do you think I can get it? Tried everything - downloaded Stean Setup - verified email address but they still don't recognise it and their contact / support tabs are usless. Do you have a contact email Sam?
ОтветитьColwick sheds is were my great grandad used to be based and there is in fact a b1 that was saved from the scrap yard that used to live at Colwick sheds it's number is 61264 and it now lives at Ruddington GCR great video as always Sam👍
ОтветитьAre there going to be more train simulator videos on the channel? I do enjoy watching them, especially after a long day at school.
Ответитьman Beeching did nottingham a nasty one by removing Victoria Street station that looked like a beautiful station also Sam the london road high level station is sadly gone along with much of the arches i believe again due to the beeching cuts.
Nottingham was one of the cities that really got f'd over by beeching's cuts but not as bad as it could have been! had Beeching left the GCML intact Nottingham may actually have turn into an entirely different beast by the 21st century.
most of all nottinghamshire was known as a huge coal mining shire which maggie thatcher saw the end of in the 70's and 80's
That was brilliant Sam I've never looked twice at a simulator before but now I want one.
ОтветитьWhere is the 552 class
ОтветитьThe last time I played a train simulation game was Southern Belle on the Sinclair Spectrum 48k, it was awful put me off simulations for life.
ОтветитьGamer sam
ОтветитьNice to see the TS videos back I guess. I got this route with one of the few dlcs for my birthday last month, actually
Although in the case of the 8F, I suggest getting the one from Bossman games because well that 8f has a few issues (the fact that its indirect and direct on the two sides would be an example)
There are route speed limits (10, 20, 25, 50, 70) Maximums for all trains. And there are train specific speed limits (in this case 50 but could be less or more dependent on wagon type, load, locomotive capacity, etc..).
ОтветитьDidn't seem like a black five. The firebox for example, didn't seem similar to both a black five nor even the 8f. Maybe a B2? Idk, it looked similar
ОтветитьFumbling around in the dark....... 😅😅 Has so many other meaning
ОтветитьGood fun, yes please to some more 😁
ОтветитьHey Sam! I’m thinking of starting a model railway and I’m into modern image. Do you recommend any locos under £150?
ОтветитьGraphics on these sims seem much better than when i played the very early ones on slow pcs. No hiding that you were distracted and failed the challenge. Better luck next time
ОтветитьAt least you knew how to pronounce "Basford" although being a localler helps 🤣
ОтветитьAll that effort, and then you fail for clicking the wrong button. Lol that was funny. I have had Train Simulator in my Steam library for years. But I never really got into it. Mainly because I played other PC games. I have a few dlc packs for it now. So I might give it another go. How hard can it be lol?
ОтветитьI love these videos
ОтветитьAh Well! you did done good anyway..
ОтветитьHi Sam, Phil from New Zealand, ready love your videos, look forward as to whats coming next, but for now, are you able to disclose the train sim you use, it looks really cool. Thanks
ОтветитьOh mate you’ve gotta give VR a go! Open your eyes for the first time in that headset and you’ll never go back, especially in a loco
Ответитьfour hoppers and a brake van in the platform... Sam says"i think we got away with that"... excellent video Sam
ОтветитьI like to mod the layouts, its pretty hard in train simulator but trainz is a bit easier.
ОтветитьThe loco will be red and the tender will have a greyed out coupling, showing that the loco and tender are one unit. Another thing in this game that you have to worry about is in the career scenarios, that you have to pay attention to signals and if you need to pass signals at danger, here's the tips I can give:
Press Tab if you're going forward
Press Control+Tab if you're running in reverse
As for other tips:
Watch the AI Traffic around you. You, as the player, may think you have priority, but AI trains will come out of nowhere and take over priority (if set up that way), forcing signals to danger.
Pay attention to your train's length. Longer trains require longer distances and greater amount of brake pressure to be applied
If driving an advanced engine (See CW or BMG or even VW), and the engine has an auto fireman, set the auto fireman to take care of the firing (or in the case of CW locos, the firing and water injectors), allowing you to concentrate on the rails ahead.
If driving in adverse weather, make sure you take all precautions into account. What's your visibility like, how much distance do you need now, what's the weather like and so on.
Check your train. Is it empty or is it loaded. If it's empty, you're not going to need as much distance as if it was a loaded train.
As a heads up locomotive in the uncouple phase is red
ОтветитьDo Thomas and friends on train simulator
ОтветитьI played Train sim world 3 recently and my 8F flung itself when hitting the buffers.😅
Totally wasn’t because I was going over the yard limit…
Think it’ll be Nottingham/Grantham canal, not the River Trent. From a Gran Turismo driver, way too many controls! Enjoyed the change from your other stuff though. V good!
ОтветитьThese are good and your one looks very detailed , I've had a go at one of my friends train sim , but as someone who has been lucky to drive some heritage locos I found this more challenging then the real thing! lol , and getting a penalty for blowing your whistle/ horn is annoying as did that a lot when people waved at us , so I should have a crew bag full of penalty notices 😂 and when going in/ out of a tunnel use the whistle 👍
ОтветитьNice to see my Grandparents’ house - in the Heathfield Estate on the left before you crossed Valley Road. I just about remember hearing locos on the line when I used to stay there in the mid 1960s. I also remember catching a train from Victoria once and the fuss when the line was closed and the station demolished. Similarly, I remember London Road Station and the slum clearances along St Anne’s, which was the rows of houses you pointed out. Weekday Cross tunnel Southern portal is still visible, I believe. Looking forward to your next attempt!
