Coincidence because I had this epiphany just 3 hours ago on my way home after visiting my dad and my step sis. I began to realize that I had daddy issues. I use to joke about it but never actually sat down to think about what it really meant. My dad gas lit me all throughout my childhood and was never really there and would only visit me once in a blue moon. He brainwashed me so much growing up that my mom was the bad guy when in reality he was. He was abusive and yeah he apologized for being physically abusive just a year ago but the damage was done, I can forgive but I can’t forget. He’s always made me feel like it was my fault and made me feel bad for him because he was “lost” after my mom left him and the reason why he didn’t visit me as often. He was there whenever I graduated elementary to make himself feel better but that’s why I didn’t invite him to my high school graduation because I knew it would hurt him and it did. He still blames my mom for the shitty things he did. And him and his side of the family always made fun of my weight growing up and he just overall never made me feel good about myself which made me realize today that like u said because I never felt that validation growing up I’ve only let guys fuck me over but I never felt enough for them to date me. I was gas lit time after time and let them thru doing the bare minimum. The one man that was suppose to teach me how a real man is suppose to love and care for me couldn’t even do that. So I’ve been accepting male attention and validation in any guy that was willing to do the smallest bit. It’s upsetting knowing it all goes back to ur childhood.

I really have a narcissistic step-mom, and a selfish passive dad, I’m going to be 18 soon and go to Uni. Universe is the power above us and we are all one soul distributed to different bodies. We need to stop taking ourselves and live too seriously and simply live.
