😂😂😂😍😍🥰🥰
ОтветитьA kid born in 1970 in Nashville, Tennesssee. I was in junior high when we got cable tv which of course had MTV . It introduced me to so much degenerntcy, but bands like Madness and The Specials really captured me. Now I’m 53, still playing drums, and still playing Ska.
ОтветитьMemories 😁🙏💯
ОтветитьI just read something about this song and Bowie's Ashes to Ashes. These songs sound nothing alike.
ОтветитьMy girl's mad at me
I didn't wanna see the film tonight
I found it hard to say
She thought I'd had enough of her
Why can't she see?
She's lovely to me
But I like to stay in
And watch TV on my own
Every now and then
My girl's mad at me
Been on the telephone for an hour
We hardly said a word
I tried and tried but I could not be heard
Why can't I explain?
Why do I feel this pain?
'Cause everything I say
She doesn't understand
She doesn't realize
She takes it all the wrong way
My girl's mad at me
We argued just the other night
I thought we'd got it straight
We talked and talked until it was light
I thought we'd agreed
I thought we'd talked it out
Now when I try to speak
She says that I don't care
She says I'm unaware
And now she says I'm weak
I'm 561 years old and am still listening to this bop.
Ответить"sometimes I like to stay in & watch tv on my own every now & then" - under-rated lyric imho. Just made a GIF of it as it has stayed with me over the years & every guy, I'm sure, has thought the same.
ОтветитьBorn in Brussels to a French father and a Ukrainian mother.
ОтветитьIt must be... Madness!

ОтветитьBrilliant ❤❤
ОтветитьThe band of its time.We love them.❤
ОтветитьThe best group ever
ОтветитьSaw them live last night, they were absolutely phenomenal. This song was amazing live, screamed the words so loud ive practically lost my voice. I really thank my teacher for introducing me to Madness, hes an absolutely amazing teacher. I only started listening last year, but I'm so damn happy I did. My amazing teacher was doing reading comprehension with us and our task was the lyrics to Baggy Trousers, and that got me and my best friend into them quite quickly. we went home that day, we called each other and just listened to a bunch of their music together and we were both so happy! I ended up going to the concert with her :). I'm only 12, and some of the people at my school call me a grandma for listening to them, but I dont give a shit because Madness absolutely rule!! I'm really thankful I do have freinds who love madness and that I have people to talk about their amazing music with, because I dont know what id do without those 4 freinds that would never judge me for what I listen to. This year, my mum got me the The Nutty Boys comic and the vinyl for The Return Of Los Palmas 7 and some other madness stuff for Christmas and I think ive read that comic about 30 times now! Oh, and the other day Chrissy Boy liked one of my twitter posts (it was this ridiculous story i wrote using like 38 madness song references) and honestly to say i was freaking out was an understatement. Im really happy i discovered Madness and two-tone when i did because that genre of music is awesome!
For anyone else feeling out of place just for the music they listen to, remember, dont listen to what anyone has to say, because you are probably cooler than them.
Anyone still listening in 2023 ...apart from me 😄
ОтветитьOnly now i hear Ashes To Ashes by Bowie in this..
ОтветитьJust read an article about David bowie saying he'd tried to rip this off for Ashes to Ashes. I'd never picked up on it but now I can't unhear it 😂 love the fact Dan Woodcote said bowie should of asked him both songs sound the same. Both great songs!

ОтветитьMet Suggs in Leece Street, Liverpool in a kebab house. He was looking after that scouse lad from Grange Hill, George something, right ugly fucker, you know the one. Suggs was great, funny lad.
