What a pain in the ass
ОтветитьGood way to shatter the front glass or plastic cover
ОтветитьHes canadian! The dollar store is a way of life up there!
ОтветитьThe c-clamp idea is genius! It worked perfectly. BTW I reduced the number of moving parts to juggle, by removing the cover on the sticky side of the circular pad. I stuck the coin right to it. Fewer things to adjust in the clamp. I use a hobby/craft magnifier on a stand for the close work. Thanks for all the useful info!
ОтветитьVery helpful, thank you!
ОтветитьWouldn’t the vice grips do the same thong😅
ОтветитьWouldn’t the vice grips do the same thing😅
ОтветитьThanks a ton just follow ur instructions and be able to replace my son's watch battery.
May u always enjoy your good time 😊
Great video!
What if you want use your watch swimming, any tips on making sure its water tight?
👍👍👍 thank you for being very accurate .
ОтветитьGreat advice and very clearly presented!
ОтветитьPop out the battery. That is the reason I need the video. You skipped right over it. Obvious?
ОтветитьUsed the c clamp method and it worked a dream. Many thanks
Ответитьbrilliant... never knew it was so simple... great video.. thanks
ОтветитьMy watch doesn't have a slot for the screw driver
ОтветитьLmfao i did the second part and my dumb ass broke the watch glass before the back snapped on 🤣🤣
ОтветитьThank you so much! I watched another video and it wasn't thorough.
Yours was perfect for me and the problems I was having!.
Looked simple, but then came out clamps & this & that. My watch cost £8 so I will just bin it & buy the same one again. The makers deliberately make it hard to get the back off.
ОтветитьI tried this but it’s still hard to find the weak spot
ОтветитьThank you sooooooooo much! I moved to the country and we have no jewelry repair shops for miles. Your video is perfect for me to do it myself. I own many watches and they usually go out near the same time. Now I'm ready when they do.
ОтветитьFirst person who helps you get the back replaced without buying a new tool
ОтветитьBrilliant! Thank you!
ОтветитьI have a casio MTP -1130 watch who recently ran out of battery after 2 years, which battery should I get so I can have that same longevity?
ОтветитьThank you for the knowledge! I just got a crazy deal on some watches that only need new batters. $35 dollars for 5 watches that are brand new and sell for $130 a piece. I'm going to replace the batteries and attempt to sell them.
Ответитьthanks lot of help 😀
ОтветитьIf you heat the backplate a little it will expand, hopefully enough to "pop" on. Standing it in hot water works, bur be sure it is completely dry. Just set it on the radiator (if its on)
ОтветитьMy watch back doesn't have any notch to open it. Is it impossible? Maybe it's cheap enough that they just want me to spend more money to get a new one if I need it 😅
ОтветитьI have a watch repair kit, but it did not come with the presser to attach the back. Tried thumbs, but that did not work. I had everything Chris recommended for a makeshift presser and it worked. thanks.
ОтветитьI can't open it!!! 😫
ОтветитьThey cost $5 now
ОтветитьI did not think that you did a good job with the video, not helpful one bit.
ОтветитьI thought it would be too hard to replace it on my own but it doesn't look that bad. I just worry because my watch is water resistant and I don't want to mess that up
ОтветитьI have 2 to replace. Hopefully this works for me! ✅
ОтветитьThis video saved me so much money. I had the tools but couldn't get the back off. Now I know.
ОтветитьThank you ❤
ОтветитьThanks so much for this! Last time my watch died it cost me $15 to have the battery replaced, this time, following your instructions, a dollar for the battery! Thanks again!
Ответитьcool thanks
Ответитьafter a hour i got it!!!
ОтветитьWe put a piece of felt on both sides of the watch face and carefully use plyers. Adjust the plyers toward the center of the watch back and carefully press. We always hear the snap provided the back is placed correctly. We have no need for the clamp ceremony...but a nice touch for a person who has a work bench😊
ОтветитьNone of my watches have this groove :(
ОтветитьI can’t get the cover off
ОтветитьThank you so much for your excellent video with admirable brevity!! There are how-to videos on replacing watch batteries on YT that are 18 MINUTES long, which is my idea of Hades….so much needless and dare I say unconscious repetition without the helping hand of an editor, man’s a lot of wasted time. This is wonderful!
ОтветитьStabbed my thumb with a knife. Don't use a knife. Luckily I found a tiny screwdriver that works.
ОтветитьThis is very informative! I now know that i can do this at home. I also now know i can do this at home by spending about 40 bucks in tools so that the greedy jeweler cant get my 20 bucks. Lol
ОтветитьMy watch back doesn't pop off..
It screws on.
So straight to the point with very clear instructions. I like this guy. Five Star video.
