The only thing I missed in my childhood was Cowboy Bebop. I had Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Iron Giant.
I was just missing this. Thankfully I watched it before graduating high school.
Background sound/music is painfuly loud compare to your speech :(
ОтветитьHF ASPY, to drained to communicate futher, EXTREMELY thankful for your commentary on his FAVORITE anime along side TRIGUN and FMAB!! Thank you!!! In the words Vash, may you go with LOVE and PEACE!upon your day!!
ОтветитьI think this is the first time I've heard the Japanese VAs. Spikes voice does fit his nonchalance I think, but damn do I love his and the rest of the main casts voices in English. I just finished a rewatch, and damn is this still as amazing as when I last watched it.
I listen to the soundtrack all the time, to me any song with Mai Yamane singing that was written by Yoko Kanno is a banger. Steven Conte's songs are geat in this too, but my favorite with him singing is Heaven's not enough from Wolf's Rain.
What I've just realised is that being bounty hunters they ironically stuck in a rut dealing with and resolving the pasts of others.
ОтветитьI dont know if you will see this comment, but i want to know how you gained this knowledge, it does not have a name for me, does it have one? Most importantly, will this type of perspective help me in life?
ОтветитьCowboy Bebop was such a trippy show, you had pretty goofy episodes like the one with the first appearance of Ed, and ones with such depressing feelings like Waltz For Venus, Jupiter Jazz, and The Real Folks Blues.
Ответить"Bebop, I guess we are cowboys now" -spike
ОтветитьWhy doesn't anyone give Ein the importance he should have? I mean, he's the fifth member of the crew. I feel like there should have been at least one episode where his intelligence was really needed to solve a case and an episode that revealed more about his past, just like all the other members did.
Ответитьalthough the ending was a tragedy, it was never confirmed that spike died
ОтветитьBro can you not use the English dub since you're, you know... speaking English?
ОтветитьThe best way to describe Bebop to someone who has never seen it, is not to present the series as an anime that's one of the best.
It's one of the best series ever made, that just so happens to be an anime.
This man's educated! You literally put all my thoughts into words. Although a bit better than I would have ever imagined.
ОтветитьSpike mentioned to Faye that after he lost his eye in an accident he sees the past in it and the present in the other. Spike lost his left eye. When Spike says his final word "bang" you can see that his left eye is bloody and permanently closed.. Signifying he is finally free from his past. And finally dies (awakens from his dream)
ОтветитьCowboy Bebop is addicting because there is no closure
It is a story without catharsis, we are unable to know if they learned their lesson or not - which if not, leads to a life of pain
you summarized it so well. I held distain for ed and ein at the beginning and it wasnt until they left that i wanted them to stay with the group
ОтветитьWith one eye he saw the past, the other the present. When he was forced to choose a path, it was the past he kept open and the present he shut. Because nothing that happened after Julia, mattered as much as what happened with her.
If you've been there, you understand. If you don't, you can't. Some things can't be explained, only experienced.
I could not watch this full video without crying😢....I as well am deeply impacted by this show and I love it but hurts so much because I can relate to most of it on an emotional level 😢
ОтветитьWhen u watch it in your teens mostly 15-16 you watch it for how cool it is......when in your mid 20s you appriciate the artistic value of the opera because is honestly brilliant and you love it........but when you watch it in your mid 30s you will feel it.
ОтветитьI believe aesthetics determines the way of life. If people cherish some concepts more than their lives, they may not be able to die old. If Spike gets relief at the last moment, assuming he is a real person, I would like to call him a real hero.
ОтветитьNext time someone complains about you tackling difficult topics DO NOT APOLOGIZE. You KICK A$$!!!
ОтветитьThe ending scene of Bohemian Rhapsody just hit me. I do not know why but I just started crying and so was with every lore Spike episode. Hit me like a truck
Ответитьi can't stop reading all these comments. you're all my brothers and sisters.
ОтветитьNah, Spike definitely wanted to die. His hope of a happily ever after with Julia was all he had left, even if he didn’t realize it. With her dead, there was nothing better to do than smoke as many bad guys as he could and escape reality thru death. Honorable suicide.
ОтветитьI really wanna know what Ed's mom is like. Seeing the dad made me think "who let this mf reproduce" lmfao
ОтветитьI enjoy the vibe of this show. It's like Jazz.
ОтветитьOne of the greatest shows of all time, and it feels like all of us are part of their journey. We all have our "frozen in time" status in life, and confronting it will be hard, but necessary for us to move on. I love how the show portrays family amongst strangers and how they open up with their pasts, maybe in a sense, that was part of their journey to wake up and face the past once more. Reminds of a medley that the Beatles made in the Abby Road album called 'Golden Slumbers / Carry That Weight / The End', perfectly resembles the point, highly recommend to take a listen!
ОтветитьHad shivers watching this
ОтветитьI recall the countless years my friends and I hoped for the fabled 'Cowgirl Edward' sequel series of grown up Ed inheriting The Bebop and picking up where her old crew left off, in honorific memorial to them all.
ОтветитьThank you for this, it really hits
ОтветитьI miss videos like this. I remember watching this several years ago and i used to see these video essays all over the place, nowadays i'm left to look to older videos that actually make you think.
Ответить"Also: DoN'T LeaVe THiNGS iN THe FuCKiNG FRiDGe!"
I didn't have nightmares, but i wouldn't be surprised if someone else did because the episode was absolutely terrifying.
Beautiful work
Ответитьrewatched this again. still good years later. great video.
ОтветитьJust the intro had me in tears remembering. I have yet to start my anime addiction but Cowboy Bebop hit me harder than anything I’ve ever seen, including Interstellar
ОтветитьJá už jsem toho unesl..
A na výčitky všech čůráků a kurev mám speciální oddělení ve svým batůžku těžkostí, co si sebou prej nesu na ramenou...
Prej...
Oni říkají...
Já se směju...
In a way, “we are the sum of our parts; our history, our present, our wants, our means”.
ОтветитьIn a way, “we are the sum of our parts; our history, our present, our wants, our means”.
ОтветитьI want to know if anyone else thinks Cowboy Bebop has one of the best dubs of all time. Every cast member absolutely added to the atmosphere and made the series perfect.
ОтветитьUm excuse me sir that was a betamax tape not a VHS thank you very much 🤓
ОтветитьOne does not truly start living ... until one has almost died ... you dont really appreciate something till you (almost) lose it
ОтветитьGreat show 👏 cult classic ... 👌
ОтветитьBebop was a rollercoaster of a ride
ОтветитьI live my life in a way that allows me to do the best i can by those that I love, without regrets.
This show may very well be an extra reason as to why that is.
i agree with your interpritation of spike this and when taking the final song into account, "Please
Don't wake me from the dream
It's really everything it seemed' i think he really did find meaning outside of julia and wanted to live
Great video it took me a bit to finally watch it but this is beautiful.
ОтветитьBingo. Bravo my man.
ОтветитьMhan all these people about different things, but spike's death was most depressing for me.
Ответить
