I know cats can fuck up even really simple jumps (I've seen one of mine fail twice to get on a couch arm that's about three feet off the floor) but I truly appreciated not having to care about balance or anything else jump related in the game. Made it a way more enjoyable experience then it would've been otherwise.

You know, I'd didn't like the game much, and every time I say it I get down voted hard.
The main reason I didn't like it, is because of what he said at the end of the review, why is a cat interacting and talking with robots, why is there an AI companion. This game started with a cat protagonist and quickly forgot it was a cat

"Would people care about this game if you didn't play as a cat? No."
That's...I mean, you can say that about any game. Would people care about Tomb Raider if you didn't raid tombs? Would people care about Gran Turismo if you didn't drive cars? It's a game about playing as a cat. That's the game. There's no alternative scenario where you play as a human grifter and the cat is your non-playable sidekick.

Came here to find jokes and bugs, stayed for the honest to god actual review that actually touches upon the gameplay and doesn't just go like "wow, cat!"

I'm catching up on donkey videos, and I'm appreciating the lack of posting a score for games at the end. I think it's a great idea for how reviews of anything should work. Good job donkey.

i honestly adore the story line, graphics, and world building so much i’d prefer to play as the cat, but feel i’d still be interested if that wasn’t a foundational part of the game.

If they wanted to be authentic to the cat experience, they would've added a "lick your own butthole" button in addition to the meow button

I heard someone once say that this game was designed for streamers to do the bare minimum in terms of gameplay so they didn't have to pay attention

I got the game cuz I wanted to play as a cat, I wasn't ready for the game to emotionally wreck me like that by the end.

The story is great precisely because you play as a cat, with a brain of a human. Much like B12 is stuck in that robot body, you're stuck as an orange furball

Theres just no way bro used abzu to put down stray's story. I recognize his point and it is his opinion that not talking makes a story better but like that game doesnt even have a story. It's just a okay vibes game.

This is literally my first indie game i've played through and through, and honestly it was an awesome experience

It has its problems but I thought the story was pretty intriguing and sad

Bit of a nit picky review, the game was fantastic. Beautiful graphics, interesting & unexpectedly deep lore story, simple yet fun gameplay, banger music tracks, and nails the feel of playing as a cat, and doesn't overstay its welcome, nice and short. I adored this game for what it was.

Going through your old stuff, Dunk. I have this on my laptop with the sound coming from the speakers. As soon as you started saying how a cat wouldn't be benevolent, my Bebber jumped on her seat by my desk. Bebber disagrees. Bebber would save the world for love like Courage the Cowardly Dog.
