Feiyu Tech Vlog Pocket Gimbal Test & Review

I really love the size of this gimbal! Anyone else use it? Thoughts?

I just bought the FeiyuTech Vlog Pocket gimbal, can't seem to figure out how you can have it tripoded on a table say, and slowly video pan the room 180 or 360 degrees.    Nothing too complicated, just slowly spin like your microwave tray.    Is this possible ?

Does anyone know how the GESTURES work FeiyuTech Vlog Pocket? I know that the Peace Sign takes a photo and Open Palm starts the video but the tracking doesn't seam to work for me. I would expect the gimbal to start tracking whoever used the gesture like in DJI Osmo but my gimbal just stands still.

Superb review, detailed and informative, props for making the video. How's Vlog Pocket at this point in time? I usually use a DSLR or a Camcorder to film surfing and snowboarding but was given a Moto E recently, would the Vlog Pocket be a proper addition to my gear?

I just got mine and works well plus I love its portability. I wasn’t too happy with the gimbal stabilization results but I learned (from another owner) that using the iPhone native video app works much better. Try and you will see a big difference.
(I will only use the gimbal app if I need face tracking otherwise isn’t up to snuff for actually filming) Cheers, Edison

Maybe it is tiny and also handy gimbal, but in my opinion the footage is crap... There are very tiny vibrations in the footage when you step, so it is definitely not smooth enough... Tiny vibrations were gone when you have action cam on, probably iPhone XR is heavy for the motors of this tiny gimbal...

hello sir... i have some question.. I like the Dolly effect.. is it the vlog pocket does that? Or the camera?

I just get mine this afternoon.. then fully charged, and tested it.. but why does it easily overheat (i think i just used it for 5 mins or so)? I feel hot too around the axis.. and can you change the video format while using feiyu tech app? Coz mine its written 720p and a little dark compared to my original camera app..
Anyway my cell is samsung S8 and using android feiyu tech app
Gonna try it again tomorrow to the mall hopefully no more overheating!

I'm thinking of getting this one because of its size and weight. The only thing I am worried about is that it has limited controls on the gimbal - particularly no zoom control. Is it possible to use my phone camera’s zoom feature on the phone screen, either in the camera app or in Feiyu ON, while I am videoing? I know it has this dolly zoom but I am talking about regular zoom.
