i listen to these channels without watching the visuals tbh i like quiet commentators who dont put loud annoying edits in their video like you, mitten squad , synonomous, very relaxing and informative even tho its just about a video game its cool how indepth you guys go for our entertainment

I have an explosive shotgun in fallout 4. Its essentially a developer gun.

There's some misinformation here. Shotgun's with short barrels are NOT referred to as sawed offs unless they are actually cut down.

The New Vegas riot shotgun more so resembles the street sweeper shotgun

On the combat shotgun that unknown loading mechanism that moves the shell to the action is the same as on a pump shotgun it’s the tube only on the combat shotgun the mag feeds the tube. It would be much closer to a magazine fed 870 pump action only it’s semi auto at least everything but the action is the same. Ever want a person with a lot of real world firearms experience to look over these Or to run something past your questioning I’m available.

Maaannn the JackHammer from FO2and Riot Shotgun from New Vegas needs to be in the next fallout, especially the Jackhammer because the design and beign one of the automatic shotguns!

I think the Riot Shotgun is more closely related to the Sweeper.

There do exist weapons that extract the bullet backwards from the magazine before loading it forward into the chamber
I believe the Mars pistol of the 1900’s was one of them

The extra tube on the bottom or top of some semi auto shotguns and rifles is the gas tube, it’s what cycles the gun

I think it is highly likely that the lower tube of the combat shotgun in FO4 is a gas tube. The gun is semiautomatic, so it would need some mechanism to cycle itself. Also due to it looking so similar to the combat rifle I think the designs might be related, similar to the AK and Saiga 12 in real life

By the way, those accidental shootings were alot of covered up suicides and such

I was very much let down by the lack of shotgun variety in Fallout 4. The hunting shotgun was my favorite weapon in Fallout New Vegas and was disappointed there was no equivalent in 4, at least without mods

Look down the barrel of the shotgun you could probably see the shells if light is going in the barrel

Bullpup shotguns are surprisingly becoming more common and mainstream in the civilian US market. The last few years had a influx of turkish bullpup shotguns flooding the country. So bullpup shotguns being a thing in the fallout universe is a pretty eerily prediction to what is happening in our real world.

Gotta love that F4 combat shotty. PPSH is single handedly the most beautiful firearm to ever grace our destructive little monkey fingers. Not only that but it's so simple in it's function that Joe Schmoe could throw a working replica together if he really wanted to. PS he really wants to.

You're really close on the whole shotgun gauge system but not quite there. The number of the gauge is the number of spherical lead balls of that diameter it would take to equal one pound. So a 12 gauge shoots a lead ball that is 1/12th of a pound.

There were several really minor inaccuracies throughout the video but only lifelong gun nerds like myself would notice and none of it really matters much. Overall great video.
