I always considered this the canon ending. Johnny taking over and going out in a blaze of glory with Rogue.

The best part of Rogue ending is her conversation with child. She kept cool, but she knew exactly this is her last call, because her past catched up with her.

I find it odd that the dialogue between Johnny and V seems switched with V getting angry over going with the original plan than when Johnny tricked her. The dialogue in the former outcome fits more in line with if Johnny was going to take over and tried going to the well.

Just did this in my last attempt at playing, gave the body to Johnny. I did that because we know V takes the pills so Johnny can continue, but later at the Afterlife Johnny goes to sleep for about 20 hours (he and Rogue, rawr, lol). Twenty hours! There's no way the pills would last that long even if he took them prior to his . . . thing with Rogue off screen, so I figured V had already slipped too far and wouldn't reemerge without Alt's help. Might as well give Johnny the body. I hadn't done it before anyway.

Later Alt confirms V is too far gone, and can only do so much, and moving Johnny out and V back in gives her about six months or so.

The way they remixed “The Rebel Path” during the entire bomber flight was just SICK. Haven’t beaten the game yet but I’m sure doing the Temperance ending instead. Even though this one already wins for me

Rogue always being too nice to Johnny. She cares about Johnny, She loves Johnny, being Jonny's babysitter while he messing around during mission, although Johnny already cheated on her for multiple times before broke up with her. Rogue still miss and think of Johnny everyday after having kids with others. She's really a good woman in night city

My humble theory on why they cant make another biochip,put v's engram on it and put it into someone's body(the way Johnny came back from the dead)- biochip that contained johnny's engram likely contained his genetic data as well. Its the reason why it has the information to alter v's nervous system. arasaka could access Johnny's full undamaged genetic information when he was made into an engram, but it didn't go the same way for v because by the time he was being examined his genes were already damaged by the biochip(which is killing him). So even if arasaka succeeds in remaking the hardware of Johnny's biochip and put v's engram in it the biochip might have the same effect on its host due to the faulty genetic information (which is the only one they have of v) it contains.

I did this on my first play through. Enjoyed this ending but now trying for a Panam ending.

V's VAs and Keanu's delivery in this ending part was fucking amazing and heart breaking.

When he says "For FUCKS sakes Alt!" and just... the entire thing was so good. He's able to channel the same anger and futility the player feels. This has completely destroyed me emotionally.

This is why I like V staying in the real world - Mr Blue Eyes mentions will to live, I think whatever the heist is can either prolong life or outright cure V.

I hate how they don't even show what happened to V or Johnny after crossing over into that Cyberspace barrier or whatever it is. Doesn't their consciousness still live on in like a digital world or something, sort if like the Matrix? It's a fake world but it should still feel like living I would think. Or do they really just disappear forever? Something about becoming a part of Alt? I've never played this game so hell if I know, but if someone can elaborate that'd be great.

If it were me, I would absolutely let Johnny take the body. It makes absolutely no sense for me to take it just to suffer for the last few months of life I have left. It would be a complete waste of the body AND consciousness. At least if Johnny gets the body, both V and him can live on in some form for the long term. Doing things the other way around just makes no logical sense. The only weird thing about it will be the fact that it will be a man living in a woman's body lol. That would be rather fucked to have to deal with.

Anyone know what happened to Takemura in this ending? I saved him earlier in the game then didn't hear anything from him

I never choose this ending because i didn't want rogue died.

I saw development has begun on a sequel. Wonder if it’s a new story or continuation of this one

This is probably my second favorite ending to the game. Kinda sucks that you can't keep the iconic gun from this mission though.

This ending works much better with male V. Cause female voice scratches your eardrums everytime Johnny takes control

like, there were options no? v and johnny merge? v goes into a new body? give us a secret ending where v doesnt slot in the shard in the first place?

Playing as Johnny and seeing V like they are an NPC is kinda surreal.

Rebel path soundtrack in helikopter is so chilling

The whole silverhand relic is both one of the best and worst things about this game. Really hard to build relationships and fully immerse yourself with everything being on an implied clock and also amazing to have Johnny’s input on so much and his and V’s push to fix the issue. Weird catch 22
