It would have been nice to get the separate tension rod that you show in your videos. Seems like an important piece.
Ответитьi just got mine and this video helped me put it together. now to break into my own house XD
Ответить"cap this off with another spacer": Mate, I am in front oif it, and it just does not fit, at all. Paid € 300. Wish you would offer those tools assembled. Because, I may not be the brightest, I am not a retard either: It just does not fit, at all! Love your content (hence, my hobby, and I've paid you > 300 € as mentioned) Sadly, this assembly experience is very disappointing! Just does not fit :( Super sad, especially,. since you are half a world away...
ОтветитьAt some places, you just need to take your time, mate: "And our firsdt warded pick": Most people do not have a clue about what you mean: Show this thing!
ОтветитьI've just got mine here in the U of K!! ;-)
ОтветитьTwo years later, these are still sold out every time I look (which, granted, isn't all that often, but maybe once every six months or so).
ОтветитьI have this with the expansion packs. My only complaint is I spend more time trying to close it back up then using it. If every pick isn't perfectly straight, they bind up when closing. I know it would make it wider, but it would probably help if the spacers were 1.5 times their thickness.
ОтветитьAnybody tried to put the key-ring-thing back in?
ОтветитьYou mean you have to assemble it yourself??
ОтветитьAfter receiving the starter kit I picked MasterLock 142 blue lock in about 20 seconds 😊
ОтветитьWaste of money! I just received this after ordering over a week ago with upgraded shipping. The picks don’t nest because the steel isn’t very good so some of the picks were bent upon delivery. Swick is soooo much better and they had the forethought to use quality steel, not cheap junk
Ответитьif these companies really want to make a secure lock they should look at the ways to pick their locks and try to prevent them
ОтветитьDoes it come with the tension bar you used? Also if not then isn't the set useless unless we buy a tention bar also? For beginners it doesn't say what you need outside of the set so I could have bought the set and not that bar separate and then been like uuummm... Ok how does this work lol so please let me know thanks!
ОтветитьThanks. That helps a lot.
ОтветитьMine won’t even fucking fit together when assembled
ОтветитьUnbelievably difficult to assemble…when there is no “go-by” for how to do it with the riv-pick. And no instructions with the lanyard loop either. Great tool, but…be ready for hair loss. ❤
ОтветитьFor that price at least have it assembled. Or a better looking body for the pieces.
ОтветитьThis would be a LOT more helpful if you didn’t keep covering the ends of the picks with your hands so we can’t actually see which ones you’re using
ОтветитьHey LPL: I ordered this tool and it would’ve been nice to know that no tension wrenches are included. Now I have to order a set from Amazon. Thanks a lot.
ОтветитьWhen Will be the Black Friday Deal sir ?
ОтветитьI bought a lock picking set today and have cracked my first lock but now I want to buy one of these 😂
Ответитьa couple of years ago, lockpicking was seen as something only locksmiths do..then came BosnianBill and LPL, and they're getting it out in the open where it's being referred to as "lockpick sport"..in that I would like to see it as a Olympic sport with LPL judging 😁
ОтветитьFinally after so many years i bought not only the compagnion but also addons on black friday sale
thanks LPL! Big fan from europe!
All the tools are slightly bent and so it doesn't fully close, but besides that it's pretty high quality.
ОтветитьDo you sell any spare parts for the companion? Mainly the small screws or spacers?
ОтветитьBut covert instruments don't sheep these to greece and i wanted to buy the cocert companion
ОтветитьThis tool is a huge pain in the rear to put together
ОтветитьYou might want to add a note in the description of this video to go watch the other one if you have the turning tool expansion pack. I followed this one and got mine all put together, only to discover I had to take it all apart and start over again to put the expansion in.
ОтветитьHow about a vid on assembly of the Slim Pickens Tool
ОтветитьDang, I just got my Covert Companion all set up, only to realize it doesn't come with any turners. :(
Ответитьvery good and easy guide, got mine recently and the tools work great
couple of questions. is there a decent way to judge how tight to screw the companion piece together, and any advice on how to hand a couple tools that seems slightly curved and try to move into the neighboring piece's space?
I've been watching the video over and over and i feel like one washer is missing. there are ten picks on each side, but i end up with eight washers on the side with the traveller hook, and seven on the other, and it's crooked a bit when i tighten the screws. but you also end up with one washer left, but i've got two. have been pulling my hair for an hour to get it right, please help anyone!
Ответитьok so i bought this but the pickscare useless because theres no backstop for the hooks... you cant lever the pins when the hook is all floppy
Ответитьthats a pretty serious design flaw for something that cost me over $90... its selling a car in pieces and showing a how too video so people can put it together themselves... 🤷
Ответитьim actually pretty fucking mad at this point... ive been watvhingbyour vids and learning lock sport but this has seriously pissed me off the more i think about it... i also bought an companion ext but apparently not all of it or the right one???!!! cuz i dont have all the pieces your showing.. i have no turning tools i have two hooks and two rakes... and no way to attach it to the companion... NEVER AGAIN.... WASTE OF $$$$$
ОтветитьMr lawyer, I’ve got the covert companion. My wife got it for me for Christmas. I followed this video for assembly but even so it does mesh together very well. One of the ward picks and a couple of other have a slight skew to them so whenever I pull a pick out it doesn’t really go back in very well, in order to do so I have to pull them all out cascade them and push them all down together. Any tips to make this a little smoother? I was thinking about maybe turning the ‘warped’ ones around. Do you have any other recommendation?
ОтветитьWhy not ship it assembled?
ОтветитьI don't have alot of money but if I find something that can help me out of a tough situation, I think it's worth buying it at full price.
Ответитьi just invested heavily into this hobby 😅
ОтветитьWhat bothers me is the fact they are using the basic Keysmart setup and charging a lot more. The tool pieces themselves are about 10 bucks on Amazon. When I recieved my slim pickings I was ticked to find Patented by Keysmart etched in the side. Also I recommend getting the tea smart pro handle if you're just using slim pickings. Its 34 on sale and you get a flashlight and tracker too lol.
ОтветитьYou said that single pin picking is the hardest was to open a lock. I've always had trouble racking or combing locks but I can single pin picking comes verry easy and always works for me but I'd like to get all the different techniques down. So I have every metaphorical tool I can. Any advice. Thanks for the videos there great
ОтветитьDon’t buy his things his return policy is bullshit He does not return the items that he sells you. He over prices them says they are so good but then you receive them and their flimsy don’t work worse Lock I’ve ever used
ОтветитьLooks like you missed a small part that was part of the handle received . What is this small thing?
ОтветитьIt looked like a very small bike chain link
ОтветитьI would love for it to be detachable.
ОтветитьJust bought mine. As someone who works in senior H.O.A. management, the residents lose the keys to their activity cabinets all the time, carrying a lockpick set with me has come in use so many times. That's was a $20 Amazon set...
ОтветитьAssembly AND demonstration, now that’s quality tv
ОтветитьThank you so much LockPickingLawyer
Ответитьmy end result is just a flimsy noisy disorganized looking tool that gets stuck on itself...
ОтветитьRip off. Spent $100 and I had to assemble it myself. Had I known I would not have bought it.
