Have you ever tried boiling and carding for rust removal? It works great. I used to take fine steel wool and oil to the rust but once I learned about boiling and carding I never looked back. It gets every last molecule of rust. Keep us updated on what you do with it! Hope you can get ahold of some ammo to try it out someday.
